Well, I have been saying all along that this will have problems, due to the height. But since this is more of an out-and-back rather than a free-form (like all other 150'+ woodies) Colossos may shape up to be AWESOME.
I will still say "I told ya' so." if it is plagued with roughness, downtime and poor ride reviews. ;)

Well I've heard plenty good things about Intamin's White Cyclone, in Nagashima Spaland, which is a fairly large woodie. If Colossos is anywhere as smooth as I've heard WC is, then it'll shape up to be quite the king of wood! This is how a large woody should be made.
Like that color!

I still think nothin will ever be better than the Daddy and Son. The Beasts rule. Nothin better. You get the best twister and the best terrain out and back. Can't beat em'. Still this looks like it will be amazing. Can't argue on that.

I agree with pki fanatic. Nothing can beat the father and son. The beasts break the records for tallest, fastest, longest, steepest, and only looping wooden coaster. This duo IMO are the reigning kings in the wooden coaster world. But, colossos does look pretty sweet, guess we'll just have to see which is the king. We'll find out soon enough. Oh and zepplinfan, its 197' tall.

Well, Intamin also did American Eagle, which is only about 66% the size, and braked so heavily it should be illegal.
So, there's the second side. Hopefully, they've learned from their mistakes and we won't see any horrible, horrible trims that cause the train to slow to a meager crawl.

It looks like Shivering Timbers on steroids to me. It will be interesting to see how rough riders say it is. I'am sure that Intamin is well aware of the problems that SOB had and have made preparations to prevent the roughness as much as possible. This thing does look like an airtime machine though. I wish I lived and Germany and could test it for myself. Actually I may be visiting friends in Germany in 2002, so maybe?? What major German city is this park near?
