What a fantastic effort! Cedar just amaze me every time with their generosity. This is up to the same level of what Disney would do, minus the mice.

It is part of their "mom & pop" attitude of running the company that I hope they never loose.

This is yet another reason why Sanduskians are proud to call Cedar Point their own. Things like this are proof that more than ROI matters to the people in charge at Cedar Point. Way to go!

Come on VOLLEYGUY, its not like the article said that they first called and asked SFWOA and were told "no we don't care about sick children." Its easy to gather around and praise CP about switching the lights on for a few hours, but what's the alternative? Tell them no? Of course not, if that happened what kind of press could they expect from the local paper, let alone nationally. I'm sure ANY large amusement park would do the same if asked. I'm not trying to take away from this act of kindness and compassion, I'm just saying this is a good BUSINESS decision, and certainly ROI matters here just as with any business decision.

It is nice that Cedar Point did this for the children. This gives me a greater respect for the company. But, you need to remember that Cedar Point is a business and that they did not just do this out of the good of their heart. They also did this to get some free publicity. This is no different than The Philip Morris company donating millions of dollars to various charities; in turn making the company look good. In these types of cases, both people win.

CP is gonna start up all it's lights in the middle of winter? That's very generous of them. CP shows it's good public relations once again.

Hope they sell pic's of CP lit up with all funds going to the make a wish foundation. Pretty cool CP and make a wish for letting these kids enjoy themselves. Remember next time a post goes up about a coaster you don't like or a park you don't like let it be, some people only get to see them from planes.
