Sea World Florida breaks $50 mark with admission price

I'm surprised it took this long for admission prices to go beyond $50, seeing how popular the Orlando/Tampa Bay area is right now despite the high prices.

What a great value we have in Ohio. A $55 2001 season pass ($47) for the kids will provide year long unlimited admission to:

1) All 4 Sea World Adventure Parks
2) Busch Gardens Williams and Water Country USA
3) Busch Gardens Tampa and Adventure Island Waterpark
4) Sesame Place (for those with small children)

Heck, just Sesame Place is $35 for a one day visit.

The Sea World pass is good at other parks? Since when?

Jeff - Sea World Ohio updated their website around end of Nov. early Dec. to include all other Anheuser Busch owned parks in the Season Pass Deal. I think the other parks do or will have similar deals, just more expensive.

Darn right! And it's good up until Feb 28, 2002 so when I go to FL for New Years this year, I still get BGT and SWO comp admission! I already purchased my Sea World Ohio pass, there's no way I'd let a deal like that pass me up! I'll be usung it at:

-Sea World Ohio (just to get it processed and maybe ride a simulator or something...I dunno how long I'll be there with BKF looming across the lake!)
-Sea World Texas (Great White and Steel Eel baby)
-Busch Gardens Williamsburg (Mmmm...Apollo's Chariot. Maybe I'll like Alpengeist this time around :))
-Busch Gardens Tampa (Montu still my #1 inverted after riding every single inverted design in the country [save Top Gun at PGA]!)
-Sea World Orlando (Kraken is only floorless in my top 10...best heartline in existence!)

As you can see, I'll definitely be getting the most out of my pass this year!

Interesting... since I'll be going to BGT, maybe even BGW this year, it only makes sense to buy one here in Cleveland. Then I can justify Kraken and not feel obligated to mess with the whale!

The best price I've seen in a long time is the SFo season pass, only 42.99, which is great considering the ticket price is 30.99. When you visit once, you've already payed for 72 percent of the pass! Plus you get into all the other SF parks !!!

WOW! $50? That's crazy. You can get season passes to other parks less than that.

Busch Gardens Tampa rose their prices to just over $50 too... Ouch!

$50... What is this industry coming to? How much is too much? Why pay that for one park when you can buy a Six Flags Season Pass good for all the parks for just over $50.

I think $50 is a lot of money to spend in one day, especially for a park that's not majority ride based.

That is way to much for sea world!

basicclly im paying 50 dollars for kraken and journey to atlantis. count me out. kraken is awesome but not 50 dollars of awesomeness.

I don't know that any park is worth $50, much less a Sea World. I know that they have a few thrill rides, but I don't know how many families can afford $50 a head to see a whale flop around in the water.

Lets see, I have an SF season pass and a membership at Brookfield zoo. Go to SFGAm and enjoy 11 coasters and then go to Brookfield zoo and enjoy all kinds of animals. I just got the same if not better experience then Sea World and spent far less then $50. They have become a rip-off in Orlando.

If you go to Florida, get the 5 park Orlando flex pass. Good for 2 weeks from the first date of use gets you into Both Universal parks, Sea World, Busch Gardens and Wet and Wild. The total cost is about $210. It's good for 15 days. You can get it at most International Drive area hotels.

Hey, it only took WDW two days to raise their prices to over $50. Look for Universal to follow within a week.

Hmmmm, my wife and I just renewed our 2-Park/2-Year pass for SW and BGT for a total of $150 each and thought that was a pretty good deal. Does anyone know if the same deal with season passes being good at all AB parks also applies to full annual passes? If so then our 2002 trip to BGW, Hershey, etc would be a bit cheaper!

Also, Disney just announced their price hike to $48 for an adult one day. Surprising they didn't match SW.

Well i think its funny if Sea World think we can spen 50 dlls for one day admission, its not congruent with reality. because you can find a season pass to Six Flags Mexico in $30 dlls, i think Sea World are out of his minds.

Expect low attendance in 2001!!!
