Six Flags America requests approval of Flying Dutchman and stand-up coasters

It doesn't get much more official than this. It appears that Six Flags America has a Vekoma Flying Dutchman for 2001. The plan also documents the future addition of a stand-up coaster, dark ride and other new attractions.

Read the document from the Prince George County Planning Board agenda, or download the Acrobat document directly.

Yea, sorry about that. I couldn't find the INFO icon, but I will contact these people through e-mail from now on. Sorry about wasting the message board. The only reason I'm involved in this is that Intamin Fan claimed I was jealous because he CLAIMS SFA is getting both a Stand Up and Dutchman

Does anybody think or hope that SFA will get a stand-up and a flying dutchman. Oh man, that would be heaven.

Just the other day I went up to Six Flags America and saw purple and yellow tracks laying in the employee parking lot. I asked my manager was that the new coaster and they said, "yes." S.F.A. has not come up with a name for this coaster yet. But it is the Flying coaster. *** This post was edited by spaceman on 1/16/2001. ***

Cool, you should have taken some pics, I got an E-mial from a friend that he had pics of track, but then 2 weeks later I got an E-mail stating that the camera was stolen.

P.S. Actually SROS SFNE, SFA is NOT a small park, it OWNS 500 acres but chooses not to use them.

Now I think we should just stick with the 2001 flying coaster for now and get excited about about a stand up after the 2001 season. The only reason to be excited now is if they tore down Jokers Jinx or got a floorless or inverted by B&M oF Course. By the way will the standup be B&M or Togo because there the only 2 companies I know of that make stand ups. I'm thinking probably B&M since they are so much better.

P.S Does anyone else think Jokers Jinx IS PAINFUL BESIDES ME
