Reflections... Okay, So I'm amped about the new SFMM coasters as they're only two hours away. No I don't like what SFMM has done with regard to themes, nor do I like the security checkpoints and long lines.... However....I did a little math and for "X" to hit 78 MPH as claimed, this has to be a hyper. Also, from looking at the arrow video, if it is an arrow, it's a controlled spin which means you will likely experience a "falling" feeling goung down hill with the car somewhat tilted. Also, if it's from arrow and it's not a hyper, it could be a vertical drop to gain such speed. If it isn't, that sucker will be over the 200 foot mark. Magnum only hits 72. The super boomer, God I hope it's smooth, that's all I have to say on that one as the Knott's boomer has gotten a little rough with years, but it's much smoother than the old corkscrew it replaced.
Now, for those who say Knott's is no in competition you're right. They suck of visitors from Disney and LA in general, but now Disney and SFMM will have them beat and the only think left is for Knotts to answer. My guess is with a hyper and perhaps an inverted by Arrow or B&M. The Hyper location unknown but likely in Ghost Town and an inerted in the place of Boomerang and Windjammer.
This was a low capital expenditure yar for Cedar Fair, much lower (about half) than what was expected. This leaves quite a bit for next year and you can bet that Knott's is next for soemthing big.
Ths up side.... Expansion is out of control right now making life great for all of us. The downside, it will slow at somepoint which will pretty much suck. Could you imagine if we didnt have all of this to talk about today? Man, life would suck.
