SoCal paper talks more about Magic Mountain coasters

Posted | Contributed by Jeff

Not revealing anything new, but certainly helping to solidify the announcement, the LA Times talks about the three new coasters coming to Six Flags Magic Mountain for 2001. The article quotes Ultimate Rollercoaster Web jockey Eric Gieszl.

Everybody here is so funny. First we go on talking about how amazing the three new attractions are going to be for MM. We were practically raining death upon Cedar Point. Now everybodu is complaining about how crappy the rides are gonna be! BE SATISFIED WITH WHAT YOU GET!! Come on guys.
Also, on the subject of "X". If they get it or not, I doubt that the cars are going to be rotating when the train is traveling at 76 mph. I tihnk that there will be censors and such to tilt and twist the cars right when they want them to, just like the spinning Wild Mouses.
Chill Out guys, the new stuff will be great.

Coasters- a little slice of heaven
I think the way a lot of people seem to think, is that a rollercoaster's legitimacy depends on which park it's placed in.

2Hostyl, who said SROS was better. Last time I checked it was all a matter of opinion. I do not understand the logic that just because SROS has alot of Airtime than MF does that make better. Show me in stone that SROS is better than MF. I also dont understand is when people compare the two and if you say you like MF over SROS, that want to question why and what was your reason, but If it was in reverse, everyone would agree. I personally like SROS better than MF, but Im sure there are people out that may like MF better. BTW, there are actually alot of people out there that likes MF more than you think.
Bernard, Joey isch said that MF was the "MOST FAVORED DAMN COASTER IN THE COUNTRY". What I'm saying (and obviously I want crystal clear" was that *I* have not heard (read) anyone who has ridden the the two coasters say they liked MF more. I will cop to MF having more sheer numbers of fans, because I believe more people have ridden it than have ridden S:ROS-NE. Notice, I make no claims which is better. Yes it is all opinion, but the opinions of those who could compare the two ride experiences is overwhelmingly in favor of S:ROS-NE. And yes a lot of people like MF (I am one of them). But I will beat this horse to death, in the reports that I have heard/read, people that have ridden both, in a landslide, prefer S:ROS-NE.

MF has the numbers because more people that visit these boards have been to CP than been to SFNE. That's like comparing KFC to Harold's chicken. Anyone who lives on the southside of Chicago will tell you that Harold's tastes better, but KFC would win a sheer numbers contest because how many people have heard of Harold's? You can only give credible weight to the opinions of those who have tried the two. Understand?
