At the risk of sinking it, I'm jumping in Gonch's boat. ;)

For sure it's going to be over the top politically correct, perky, bubbly, family freindly, age appropriate fun with a positive attitude and a smile for everyone!;)

I'm all for cheerleaders but I think the dancing geezer was more interesting.

Couldn't there be a Six Flags bikini team instead.

Thanks for another great season, VF!

You're getting Bring It On here. I somehow doubt this is a job the Laker Girls or the Eagle cheerleaders will be moonlighting with. The hotties in question will be closer to your daughter's age than yours, Gonch, you old lech. :)

Gonch,

Not to sound like the grumpy old man, but wait until you have a daughter the age of the cheerleaders...

I do know, however, that the absolute worst time to visit Disney parks is when they do their cheerleading competitions and have all of the teenie boppers who are stuck on themselves annoying the crap out of everyone else in the parks.

For me, the addition of cheerleaders is not going to make my visit any better.

Certain victory.

Well, they're not gonna be 10 year olds. Closer to 10 than 34? That puts them at 21 or younger. (22 is a tie) I'm ok with 21. :)

But it's not going to make mine any worse - so I say, "why not?"

Is it stupid? Of course. Does that make it a bad idea? Not even close.

It gets a little attention for SF. They make some public appearances promoting the park. It puts a smile on Dad's face (or Mom's - males are welcome) when he enters the park. Daughter thinks it's cool, Grandma likes those nice kids cheering and we all win.

Everyone wins except the grumpy enthusiast that looks for anything to ruin their day. :)

I'm also in the "bring on the hotties" camp.

If they really push it, I can see it really helping the park. I have three sisters all of them either in their teen years or growing close to it. All of them enjoy Bring It On and High School Musical. All of them enjoy cheerleaders. When I mentioned this to them, they really thought it was cool. Given all that, though, my family will still be driving past a Six Flags to vacation in Pigeon Forge for some Dollywood action. *** Edited 3/19/2008 10:11:08 PM UTC by a_hoffman50***

According to the link I posted, they're working mostly @ GAdv starting July 4th weekend (they're having boot camp and practice up till that point), with the "possibility" of appearing at other parks.

Sounds like they're drawing from the same age range as most of their seasonal hires. (I'd say 18-19 Gonch.) So if you think the gal at the Dippin' Dots cart or operating the kiddie rides is hot, then you may be in luck. I'm thinking cute and perky-- yes. Hot-- not too sure.

But I thought SF was trying to attract people with open wallets, not arms. :)

A bit of a thread resurrection, but here's the results:

Thrilleaders debut

I stand by my comments of 4 months ago and it looks like the crowd dug it too.

Well, who doesn't want to see women in skimpy outfits? Why is the mascot just a person? That's seem just stupid. Isn't a mascot supposed to be like a costume character or something?

It's nice to watch women do their thing, but this is just a waste of money.
