If they really couldn't come up with a good name on their own... Why not open it up to the public? Make it a contest. Maybe a small prize. I really don't think it could have been any worse then that.

Whats life if you never get to the Point?

did anyone notice that KD's Tomb Raider-Firefall is now named "The Crypt"?

did anyone also notice that the other ex-Paramounts still have all their Paramount movie names intact? Check KI & Carowinds - Top Gun, Drop Zone, Italian Job, Tomb Raider - all still there. Only KD changed those two names so far. Weird. Or maybe it's just started.

At first I thought it was a lame name, but it really does represent the theme of the ride quite well...

I am really starting to like "The Crypt". What a great name for a darkride!

I'm with Blackie (and no, not just b/c I'm black :)), but "Road Rage" was the first name that popped in my mind. Or hell, they could have just called it "I-95" ;). *** Edited 12/20/2007 2:13:33 PM UTC by 2Hostyl***

Maybe they could get the licensing from Disney for Herbie, redo the cars as VW Beetles, and call it Lindsey Lohan's Drunken Adventure!

Certain victory.

It should have been called: The Optimistic Vehicle With Imagination.

Did everyone see Dominator's new logo? I came up with a math/logo equation with some classic rock bands to show how CF Planning arrived at their result.

Seahawk & the Wave, I just caught that name change. It's not bad, in my opinion.

'Back Lot Stunt Coaster' a basic name? You seriously think that?

This name will probably bring many more riders then the "Italian Job" name did. It seems to me that the name in itself would spark interest to the "GP" who have not ridden it before.

The name seems to fit the ride. No one here would be questioning the name if it was not named Italian Job first.

Guess who's back? Back Again? James K's back. Tell a friend.

Italian Job was a stupid name to begin with, but any coaster with the word coaster in the name is just a product of pure laziness!

Oh my gawd. Not only does it have an awful, generic name, but it looks like it's an awful generic coaster as well!

I can't come up with any, but those names aren't very good either.

Wow, I don't really see a problem with the name. It allows them to keep the theme (regardless of whether or not they'll maintain it) and not really change anything.

And come on, I didn't even know about the original movie, let alone the re-do, until they announced the Kings Island ride and gave me a copy of the DVD at the announcement. It was a strange license to use in the first place.

So would it have been better if it said "track" instead of "coaster"?

*sigh* boy you can tell it is the off season when the enthusi-asses start whining about the most moot things.

Someone warm up the griddle, it sounds like we're going to need a round of pancakes for some of these posters.

LOL Gonch. I bet most park guests just say "let's ride the mini-Cooper one!"

There's only one little problem--they weren't even allowed to keep the Mini-Cooper look according to the guy from KD who took questions at the ACE Fall Thrillfest in Oct. The fronts and rears of the vehicles are being changed.

So I guess they'll now look like mutant or "Pimp My Ride" Mini-Cooper's:)
