I your opinion, what do you think is the most amazing flat ride that has been built?

I say, the Giant Top Spin.

Spinout

Orbiters that tilt the cars at about a 90 degree angle

Rest of them include:
Spin Out
KMG Fireball
Zippers
Flying Bobs
Scat
Yo-Yo's that tilt nicely
Force 10
Shocker
Power Surge
Chaos
Wipeout
Spider
Tilt-A-Whirl
Freak Out

Huss regular Frisbee Top Spins are so boring. The Giant Frisbee is okay (Max Air). *** Edited 7/18/2007 9:58:06 PM UTC by Spinout***

Actually considering they are all but extinct now, I might have to go with the Looper. That thing is a trip.

Spinout, the only reason you find a regular Top Spin so boring is because you haven't one with a decent program. Stop by Kennywood, or if still exists, ride the one owned by Strates Shows. I think I counted twenty-one flips last year.

A Tilt-a-Whirl amazing and/or unique? Granted they can be fun, but amazing? And again, a Wipeout?

My unique choice would be the Huss Flipper owned by Reithoffer Shows, because you won't find another one in the United States.

My amazing choice would be Street Fighter (also known as Extreme) made by Technical Park. It destroys all other inward-facing pendulum-based rides. The airtime is insane.

The Huss Jump 2 is amazing in my opinion. It is also one of the most unique rides I've seen...

I always thought the Boomerangs were pretty amazing, and very unique. I rode one at the Dixie Classic Fair back in 1993 but haven't seen one since. I have always been curious if it was still in operation.

For a few years the company that does my local fair had a Chance Turbo. It was very fun to ride (saw several people blow chunks while on it) and of course definately unique.

No thrill ride has ever beat the Zipper in my eyes. 100 percent undefined, unrestrained, unpredictable disorientation. In such a relatively simple package. I only wish there were more around than just depending on a travelling show to bring one.

Don't ever ride one with anything in your pockets that you will ever need to see again. :)

I think the most unique flat I've seen pics of -- which unfortunately I can only seem to find one small photo of -- is the Wheel Burrow that was at SFOG. It was two Chance Skydivers that rotated horizontally around each other.

swampfoxer: Do you have any pictures of the boomerang? I'm always hearing rumors of a modern boomerang ride that shows up at carnivals but I've never seen a picture of the thing.

I remember the old boomerang from Bertrand Island. I never rode it but I liked to watched it. I've heard about a few more of those things and have wondered if any still exist in storage somewhere.

The intamin Star/Tree Wheels (ie Great America Sky Whirl, Kings Island Zodiac, Hershey Giant Wheel).

The were impressive to watch, impressive to ride, family friendly and solved the solution of loading time on a ferris wheel.

It is a shame that they all have been removed, yet the horribly slow loading giant wheels like Cedar Point are still operating instead of these wonders.

I also like the Huss Magic at Marineland. I haven't seen another one anywhere. It is nothing intense, but provides some fun floating and diving sensations.

Huss Flipper and Huss Tri-Star are 2 flat rides that i would like to experience. I hate that i didn't get to Idlewild before they removed their Tri-Star.

Are there any cuddle ups left in the US now?
