That's just sad. I hate it when I see a coaster coming down.

Honestly...I don't know whether to be happy, or sad! That was a pretty painful, and uneventful ride for me.

Let's see...$6 million to build in 2000. It lasted for 7 years.

That's coaster cost $833,333.33 a year, plus upkeep...let's just say a million a year.

WOW! Even the high end attractions should pay off better than that!

Sad to watch....

Fever I really enjoy the Simpsons. It's just a shame that I am starting to LOOK like Homer.

I think that I saw this coaster for sale on that Itali site. If this is a CCI coaster, not sure but I think I saw it for sale a while back.

Well literally the only thing good about the Hurricane was the scenery, and you can't sell that. Brutal ride, G-trains, it had all the suck you could ever want. No shock B+C didn't sell it or move it.

Wow, my parents were just down there a week ago, and got some shots of what was left. My father said it changed everyday they went by it. I'm glad i was able to get a couple rides on it 3 yrs ago. I'll miss that park, it was one of the highlights of going to Myrtle Beach. Family Kingdom is never open during March Break. Sad to see another coaster go.

The Hurricane actually wasn't a bad coaster during it's first 2, maybe 3 seasons. And that sucker would pick up some major steam at night.

It sound like many of the people "glad" to see this ride torn down never got a chance to ride it before it got to rough & jackhammery.

Good ole Swamp Fox is right up the road though. And hopefully the east coasts "only" all wooden seaside coaster will be around to celebrate another 41 years!

Although a *little* rough, I thought it was a very good coaster on the last day it ran...

...until that dang helix at the end... OUCH!

That's was actually pretty awesome to see. I have never seen video of a coaster being put out of its misery like that. ;)

Then again I never got to ride it, just heard the horror stories GALORE!
