Do you think Arrow got offended?

When Kennywood ask Morgan to revamp the Steel Phantom instead of them.

When was the last time arrow made a hyper anyway. Morgan has been making great ones latley and their coaster track designs are similar. I think that arrow is out of the hyper age now and are moved onto other things. If i was a worker for arrow i wouldn't care. I am not sure why they changed it in the first place.

Arrow is CURRENTLY making a hyper. It's called X. It's at SFMM. Its 200-some feet tall.

I think arrow was kinda ticked off by not being asked to redesign SP.

I don't think Arrow would have been mad, if the coaster isn't giving the park the revenue, and ridership they want, then it should be changed. I'm sure would have wanted to, but isn't Morgan sort of born from Arrow employees? I may be wrong, though.

I imagine they would be a little insulted by it. I mean, Kennywood is basicly saying, "you guys could't do a good enough job, so we'll find someone else who can" By the way, what morgan hypers are there aside from steel force and Steel Dragon 2000. I know i am forgetting a couple.

Umm dudes, Dana Morgan is the son of one of the Founders of Arrow, so i dont think there very offended, and besides, Morgan is only do certain parts.

Maybe Kennywood asked Arrow to do it, but they declined.

What does Morgan do besides Hypers. Because I really can't see a person making much of a career out of making some half-(censored) hypers.

Morgan does tons of stuff. They did the caro-seuss-el or however you spell it at islands, and they also did the mine train at Bonfante Gardens. I would also bet they would make a hell of a looper if someone would ask them to do it.

Magnum's nowhere near the last hyper Arrow made. Steel Phantom, Desperado, and Blackpool's Big One were all built after '89.

As for Morgan, they've got a few hypers under their belt, too. Besides SD2K and Steel Force, they built two other 200+ footers for Cedar Fair, Valleyfair's Wild Thing and Worlds of Fun's Mamba. Also, they built a "junior hypercoaster" for Sea World Texas called Steel Eel, which stands at 150' tall.

Why would they feel offended. If anything they would feel honored. Now the reason that I feel that they won't feel offended is because the Phantom's Revenge will still keep the first & second drops, the signiture and original part of the ride that made it so special, immortalizing (at least for the next 10 years) the ride's predicessor. Besides, it's not like loops were anything special. You can find an Arrow looper anywhere

How many companyies has arrow produced or people have originated. I think B+M originated from them two. I bet they are mad because their original designers are all leaving and starting companies that are producing coasters that are making a big impact on the coaster world.

Hey, none of us know the bidding process that Kennywood used, so we can't even know the circumstances, much less the emotions. Arrow may simply have not been low bid.

One item to remember is this wasn't just a debugging. It is actually building a complete new coaster after the first 2 hills. I strongly suspect that Kennywood was largely motivated by a desire to add a new attraction in the limited space of the park. They would be hard pressed to squeeze in anouthe hyper.

Umm dude B&M left Intamin, and thats Intamin thats alot of there top designers were leavinbg from. EG B&M, which cuased Giovanola to go with them basically.)

Once a coaster company signs off on the ride the park can do whatever they want to it.

Knowing Harry Henninger,he was looking for the most bang for the buck possible. Arrow apparently couldn't meet the requirements, while Morgan could. That's how business is done. You win some,you lose some.
