Yes... you can buy tickets with credit card or cash. And yes, if you have a ticket from the hotel packaging you can buy the event only price. You'll still need to go to the front gate though, unfortunately.

That's one of those little things I'd have never thought about until I was there.

Anyone know if there's foot access to the front gate from the resorts or does this involve driving back around the penninsula to the parking lot and hitting the gate?

I ask because I've never had to get back to the front gate before park opening when staying in the resorts.

There no real foot access, but they have a shuttle that will at least take you to the marina (maybe even further), where it’s a short walk to the front gate.

Yep, the Resort Shuttle (assuming it runs that early, and I think it does) will cover this for you.

I forgot about the shuttle. Hopefully, they do run that early.

It's hard telling if they will run the shuttle that early, that late in the season.

In a worse case scenario I/we could just drive to the front gate. It could be like a parade!

Yeah, driving around isn't a problem at all. Just like to get to the Po!nt and forget about the car for a couple of days. :)

I like the parade thing, though. Should I make a float?

I think a root beer one would be great.
