About the Podcasts

Um, this may be unreasonable, but is there any way to get transcripts of the podcasts, or maybe even just synopses? I understand if it's not (and if it's being done and I've missed the link, I apologize) but I listen to people speak into a microphone all day as a job and I can't make myself do it for pleasure.

I want to live where it's all the same. I want to live where it's all just like today. I want to live where it's always Saturday.

If you can't "make" yourself listen to it for pleasure, how could you "make" yourself read it for pleasure?

If we start transcribing the podcasts, I'm gonna have to turn in my badge, because then we're all taking it just a tad too seriously.

That's a bad approach to getting something done. You should have said you are deaf and then it looks more like a courtesy vs. your own personal preference.

j/k btw ;)

LOL Greg! Seriously though, it could be done, but somebody has to be willing to do it.

I would be willing to do it for... ehh... $50 a cast? ;)

The amusing thing about the suggestion that I pretend to be deaf is that I work for a company that records books on tape for the blind. It's a funny joke, though.

As to how could I "make myself" read it--I do read for pleasure; it probably would take me about one third as long to read it as to listen to it. I've tried listening to podcasts (admittedly not the Coasterbuzz) before and couldn't get through more than about three minutes of a thirty minute podcast. Sitting looking at a computer while wearing headphones is --really--too much like what I do as a job.

If it's not being done, it's completely fine. I was really just curious if it was happening or in the works or anything like that.

I, personally, cannot listen to podcasts while at the computer. My main form of listening is in my car.

My wife makes me burn her a copy of the CB Podcast to CD. That's how she chooses to listen in the car. Whatever works, I suppose.

Then she comes home and gives me hell for what I say. ;)

I don't know what I was thinking, but burning them to a CD never enterd my mind! LOL!

And that makes Podcast day different from other days because...

Yeah, at least it's not the four most dreaded words in any relationship ("We need to talk...")

I listen to the podcast in the car, although if it's a week I participated I tend to skip to the end to see what bit of irreverance Jeff tossed in.

I love listening to the podcast, but have a hard time sometimes due to the large varience in volume or bass from person to person.
