Coaster Mayhem 2006 - WOF

The flyer has finally been put up. It looks like it is going to be a wonderful event and I hope that lots of youse guys come so it can become an annual event.

Might want to start looking for a place to stay in the KC area. There is a Great Wolf Lodge over in KCK area and then there is always the wonderful Worlds of Fun Village with a great location to the parks.

WOW sounds like fun to bad I'm not a Card Carrying Member to any Coaster clubs. Oh well you'll all just have to tell me how it is.

I'm not sure what all clubs count, but I can find out.

Looks like a good time. I go to school at the University of Kansas, and I believe we get off on the 19th of May, so I may just stay another day or two for this event.

If CB counts that would rock, the wife has never been to WOF so what better way to do it than this.

We are being very loose with the term "Coaster Club" this year. We are looking for organized enthusiast clubs with credentials. To answer your question, I do not have a specific list, but Holiday World's list is very close to what I am looking for.

So I think it is safe to assume that a Coaster Buzz Club membership would be enough for you to get in to the event.If you have anymore questions, shoot them my way I can pass them along to Nick.-Dustijn

Sounds like a good time to visit. Hopefully Timber Wolf will be in better form, as I plan to spend all of the evening ERT on TW. :)

I think you can count my wife and I in for this, she was wanting to go to KC to shop anyway so this is a perfect time to do it and since it is only 3 hours from Des Moines, we can make a weekend out of it.

Decisions...decisions...I am supposed to bowl in a tournament in Springfield MO that weekend....think I am going to look at changing teams and go on a different weekend.

What kinds of foods do they usually serve at these events?

It's been a while but I recall WoF serving hot dogs and chicken (and other picnic/grill food) at the Howlings and other events in the past.

Well let's just say that it IS IN KANSAS CITY and IT IS FAMOUS FOR BBQ... ;)

ZardaQ is served at the park, so I would imagine that is probably what the lunch will consist of.

This sounds really cool. I am going to have to get out there. This will be an all day event, right?

I am going to ask some friends what else is around Kansas City. Have any links about Kansas City?

There's a Pizzeria Uno's in the Plaza district. What else do ya need? :)

Having rechecked my Wallace & Gromit 2006 Calendar [yeah, I wish it was an S&D calendar, too!] I've realized it *is* the weekend before. And guess what that means? ;)
