What's Hangin' From Your Tree?

Seasonal topic here...

Just wondering whether anybody has any kind of Christmas ornaments or other decorations related to parks or coasters. Or does that betray one's status as a "not too enthusiastic enthusiast?" Like Santa doesn't already know. :)

I don't have a tree. I am way too cool to participate in such activities. I don't even associate with people who cut innocent pine trees and plaster with tinsel. Pfft! ;)

I have some of the Goodwill Cedar Point/Sandusky ornaments that we put up every year. I also put up a Cast Member ornament I got when working at Disneyworld.

Antuan...if it makes you happy I have a fake tree because the live ones don't live too long here in Florida.

I do have a Coasterimage ornament, but that's more an ego thing than an enthusiast thing. :)

I suppose most of you would consider this over the top, but what would you expect from two ACE EC members? We have two trees and the main one is amusement parked themed. We have probably close to 100 ornaments from amusement/water parks all over the world. We also have some beautiful porcelain carousel horse ornaments, and three miniature Ferris wheels that actually move. We have been collecting these ornaments for years.

I know we have several unique ornaments but the one that really comes to mind is a Grizzly ornament from Silverwood.

And don't worry Antuan, the trees are fake and there is no tinsel :)

Not this year. This year Santa's eating and drink off of the antique CP cup & saucer set! ;)

And hey, Santa can keep a secret. No one has to know what goes on behind these closed doors. :)

I wanted the MF ornament from the point's website but they were sold out when I placed my order :(

But, I'm getting some nice coaster posters from the Point and some other photos and stuff for Xmas this ear.

My small 4-foot tree currently has the following "touristy" ornaments:

* All of the die-cut, gold-plated Euclid Beach Park ornaments that the Humphrey family has put out (they have been available since 1993- their website displays them all)

* Similar style ornaments of Knoebels Twister and Phoenix from their awesome North Pole store.

* A similar style Top Thrill Dragster ornament from the Point.

* A similar style ornament of the "Welcome to Las Vegas" sign.

* A Walt Disney World ornament from 1998.

* And an ornament emblazoned with the logo of Bronner's Christmas Wonderland in Frankenmuth, Michigan... the world's largest Christmas store. I am such a sucker for crap like that!

You're correct Vater. I have the same ornament and I bought it boxing day 2003 (70% off made it better, lol).

What's hangin' from my tree? balls. lots of pretty christmas balls of many colors and decorations. :) Gotcha!

We have that animated amusement park from Hallmark, but it's too heavy to hang on our little tree. It sits on the mantle looking rather nice though.

I have a small Indonesian immigrant wearing an Ace shirt hanging from my tree, but this will be the last year for him as he costs to much to feed and keeps causing the tree to tip over.

I have uh... nothing even mildly coaster related hanging from my tree.

I have, however, dispensed with the standard Lionel Train this year, and remodeled my Coasterdynamix kit to do a little circuit around the tree. The basic progression goes drop, loop, turn, zero g, helix, air hill, turn, cork, turn... with the very end of the ride visible here.

I'll post other pictures later if anyone wants to check it out...

Silver Dollar City makes it easy for "amusement park" themed ornaments as season pass holders get one every Christmas if they go to all of the festivals, and if you are a 3-park pass holder and go to all 3 parks you get another ornament. So far I have at least 12, maybe 13 of these pewter ornaments. They are really nice and one reason why renew our passes every year. We also have some random theme park ornaments from various parks as well. :)
