At Darien Lake last year, one day in August, around 6pm, there was a terrible thunderstorm. Most people left the park. After about an hour and a half, they actually reopened S:ROS. The only people in the park (besides employees) were on the Superman train. It was very strange. It started to rain again, and we all rode about 12 times in a row, before they closed. It was very wet, and the rain felt like bullets on my face, but it was awesome.
Then in October, during the Octoberfest, there weren't many people there anyway. Around 5pm we walked over to S:ROS expecting the usual 30 min wait. Instead, there were only people inside the station. It was really cold, so almost everyone had gone. I rode for about 5 hours straight. Sometimes the ride ops were calling other employees to come and ride cause they needed more people before they could send the train. I rode 39 times that night. That was my last time at Darien Lake that year and it was incredible.
