Quick Question from an Ex-Enthusiast...

Stitch

I used to be on here all of the time, but I have since moved on. Anyways, I'll be heading out to SFMM next wendesday, and I have a few questions:

Is X still closed every wednesday?

Is there some sort of Fastpass system? (Explain...)

Does anyone have a strategy for hitting the most big rides in one day?

Any other tips?

I'm sure Magic Mountain will renew yor love for coasterdom ;)

I believe X is closed wednesdays, and whatever day Magic Mountain picks out of a hat. Meaning, no matter when you go there is no guarantee you will ride.

There is a fastpass system, 15 beans will give you four passes to cut in line for their star attractions. There is no virtual queueing system yet to my knowledge (If I am wrong the locals will advise)

If you go on a weekday you should have no problem hitting all the big rides (providing they are open) at least once. Batman and Riddler may be "one training it," but it shouldnt be that bad overall.

Bon voyage

Enjoy your trip.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but SFMM is only open weekends:

^Next Wednesday is the 23rd. That calendar you linked to says they are open from 10am-6pm. ;)

I guess it depends on which "next" Wednesday he meant. Next Wednesday is the 16th, or does he mean the following Wednesday???

heh...

Well I would consider Wednesday the 16th to be "this Wednesday" (or simply tomorrow :P ). And "next Wednesday" would be the Wednesday of the following week - the 23rd.

It gets tricky, but I guess once you get passed Saturday/Sunday, "next week" becomes the week that is 7 days away, and "this week" becomes the upcoming week.

LMAO! :P

X is closed for off-season maintenance and the trains are getting some much-needed TLC. Reps from S&S are out here this week.

Don't hold your breath.

That's ex-enthusiast who's going on a trip somewhere they don't really like going to ride coasters they aren't all that crazy about.

Then again...since it IS November and all, I've moved on from wavepools. Yeah. Since the ones 'round me are all empty and uh, it's kinda cold outside.

NOTE: Severe fecal impaction may render the above words highly debatable.

Jacuzzi's are more fun this time of year, Playa. :-) But then again you have Mall of America in case of a sudden coaster craving. :-)

Jacuzzis? Bah. I hear the Great Wolf Lodge in the Poconos is now open. Maybe I'll have to head there this winter for some kind of fix.

lol, you guys crack me up. hey Stitch, if you have "moved on" as you put it, why do you still have membership here? obviously if the hobby wasnt important to you at all, you really would have moved on. your hypocrisy is amusing...why dont you just keep your mouth shut and go enjoy the park and the other tons of coasters, rides, and activities SFMM has to offer.

still trying to think of a good signature...

Yes, you bastard, how dare you have a casual hobby! They should only allow true enthusiasts in parks. People who aren't batsh*t insane for coasters shouldn't be allowed to ride!

...wonder why he went away?...

Actually, it's more of a temporary thing as I currently get about 5 minutes of free time each day...so, yeah, when I get into college, I'll come back more regularly.

Well that doesn't make you an "ex-enthusiast," more like a dormant enthusiast. Or maybe an SBNO. :)

Oh yeah-- nothing like going to college to gain lots of free time.
