Six Flags: Over Georgia is indeed getting Goliath, a 200 ft. B&M hyper coaster for the 2006 season.
Now, someone must fire the PR person that decided that *today* was a good day to make this announcement!
Brian - the announcement has probably been planned for months, and honestly no time in the foreseeable future will be considered a "good time" until the mess is cleaned up.

Now...if Atlanta wasn't only 1000 miles away....
To me it's layout roughly resembles Magnum. 2 big hills and a turnaround. Not a complaint - just an observation. One complaint however is that it will be a two train operation. Though it may not matter - I think SFOG ops are pretty slow.
If it maintains its speed throughout the entire course I think we're gonna have a winner on our hands. I for one love the layout, that second hill towering over scorcher is what is really gonna sell the ride.
People entering the park are going to see that and just be ecstatic over something so overwhelming. Also, if the pond out front is made to look anything like it is in the video, that will be a great effect added to the ride itself.
Does anyone agree with my thoughts or does goliath appeal to anyone else out there? I will be standing in line on opening day for sure.
I wish other SF parks would announce for 2006. O wait a minute they did..... they're up for sale!!!! *** Edited 9/1/2005 3:43:09 PM UTC by SF Critic***
