Yes, the Starship is still there.. sorta:

Sure, the looping starship and GASP were two great family rides, that the park definitely does not need to lose. They have been notoriously known for their lack of flats, although the problem has been successfully addressed over the past few years.
This aside, if in fact the park is adding a new hyper, I am really liking the fact that they didnt do what everyone thought, and just clear out a tract of land by Superman and plop it down there. From the looks of things, this ride is going to go over or under (Thatd be real awesome), at least a portion of the parks midways.
I dont know if anyone agrees, but so far this has all the potential of being one good ride. All i can say is how long has this park been waiting for this?
I like the location, which will help us have a big drop (some say 230-250') while not ascending too high. The interaction with the Scorcher, the entrance and the possibility of it burrowing under the parkway will all be worth looking forward to when the announcement is made in the coming months. When I first heard of activity in the Gasp's area last winter, I couldn't imagine a hyper going in there, but now it just makes it better.

Based on pavement markings, Looping Starship is going bye-bye along with Gasp...
