I wasn't trash talking if you were talking to me, and seriously I don't care about this contest...its a million chance...and I could care less...Its an entry...but there's not rule against submitting other coaster designs...I read the official rules 4 times already. Eh, whatever.

Oh really, Dominator, I guess you didn't read everything on the entry page...

*Must use downloadable RollerCoaster Tycoon®3 Coaster Designer to enter the contest.

He said the same thing a few days ago, redman. When I pointed out the exact same page you just did, he deleted his post.

Sure getting worked up for someone who doesn't care. :)

Closed? That would be so depressing, why would anyone use a park name? That would just be stupid. ;)

Does this demo version require a PC with similar powers?

I've never played RCT3 before, but I got 7, 7.8, and 3.6. Is that a fairly good coaster in the third version?

I built the track in the downloaded editor with the 25 grand and saved the track design. When i tried to rebuild it the est. cost is $24,600. but when I try to build it again, it cost $25,190. I built it on all flat land the first time... anyone have ideas why it would cost more now??

sorry, but I have another question. Where is the saved track file at? I've looked in the tracks folder, but I don't see my saved track.

Thanks for the help. *** Edited 8/6/2005 1:01:43 AM UTC by BWizzle***

Ok, I'm feeling helpful...

You can find your saved designs in:
My Documents>RCT3CoasterDesigner>Coasters

You save your tracks exactly like you do in the retail version of the game:

Click on the coaster to bring up the ride info window in the bottom right corner of the screen. Click the Details button (located right about at 2 o'clock). The disk icon is 4th from the left and saves your track design to the folder I listed above.

I found it, thanks for the help. :)

Also, I guess all I'm left wondering is how 'extreme' they want this ride. How many inversions, etc.. I have been building them with 4-5 inversions, 140+ feet high and they're all comming out med/med/low. Hmmm.. I wonder if Hershey would really consider something with 10 inversions as a feasible(sp?) ride. =P

Well problem is that you can't change your name after you sign up

I didn't see this before. I've gone by this screenname since SFWoA's inception and have never wanted to reregister anywhere so I've always gone by the same name. Maybe I'm just a bit set back in the times! I'm far from the only one who has a park name in their name. Oh well.

So no one has answered my question.. so I'll bump this up. ;)

I am building rides with 5-6-7 inversions and only hitting High(mid-5)/Med/Low stats. Does HP really wanna see something with 15 inversions, cuz thats what it seems like I'll have to do to keep upping the stats! =P *** Edited 8/31/2005 9:17:59 PM UTC by MForce2k***

I don't think anyone here can tell you what Hershey wants.

I was just under the impression this was more about realism, but if I can pull something off like that, why not?
