Yes, sexy. You think they'll go to the effort to include the white stripe when it comes time to repaint in the not too distant future?

A question - I go to the University of Kansas, 45 minutes from WoF. Is there any possible way for me to pull a media day invitation? I've never been to one and I would LOVE to go. If anyone has any information or suggestions please send them my way. Thanks a lot.

Other than being able to ride it before it officially opens media days are not all that. There is a lot of standing around and waiting while cameras and sound equipment are adjusted. Want a front seat ride? Better be a reporter!

I went to Riddler's and Golith's media day and while I've been invited to many more I choose to go when I can actually ride more than a few times.

Just my two cents.

Considering the fact that the rumors have been A B&M Inverted Coaster named Patriot at Worlds of Fun for about a year now, and this is a B&M coaster with a color scheme that screams the name of Patriot and it's going to Worlds of Fun, then the probable assumption is that it's an invert.

In short, inverted. :)

That's weird, Moosh. I've been to a dozen or so Media Days now and I've never had less than ERT conditions. Some off the top of my head are:

*Raging Bull - 29 rides
*Wicked Twister - 36 rides
*Cornball - 20+ rides
*Top Thrill Dragster - 5 rides (okay so this one was bad because it got struck by lightning and they didn't get it going til 10am)
*Sheikra - 50+ rides
*Delirium - 9 rides (without getting off)
*SUF SFoG - 25 rides
*Tornado SFWhitewater - 15+ rides

As you can see, I'd *never* miss a chance at going to a Media Day...too many rides to pass up!

I am thinking of joining ACE very soon, but since there are so many ACE members, how would that increase ones chances?

Add me to the "not a fan of the white stripe" list.

Although that's just looking at single pieces. Sometimes when things get put together the look makes more sense.

Haha that's funny. If this were a Six Flags park it'd have "Captain America" written all over it. But it has the World of Fun tag on it, so yeah...

No, if It were at a Six Flags park and had 'Captain America' written on it, I'm sure Marvel would sue, and IoA wouldn't be happy either. Six Flags has D.C. Comix characters, not Marvel...

Sorry, had to geek out a min.

I have to say that, looking at seperate peices, I don't really like the way it looks, but I still like it because it is original, and I'm sure it will look nice when put together. Looks very retro, though.

My guess is that it's invert track. It looks a little small in the box area (at least IMO) to be flyer track.

I like the colors.

Cool, if it's an invered, maybe they will build a new Arrow/S&S sitdown instead of a B&M floorless in the future! Least I hope so!

i dont know....as i compare pictures of the track with that of sheikra and then with silver bullet,it seems to look a lot more like sheikra's track. Silver bullet seems to have more of a rectangle look, while this sheikra shares patriot's square look...same thing with SCREAM! it seems to have the rectangle look going

Geez...it didn't even occur to me it could be a flyer, only an invert or dive machine. I would love a flyer or a dive machine. So many of the GP around here would be 'wowed' by either of those two.

Let me help fuel the fire Swoosh...it's about time that WOF earned some attention, especially compared to VF. :)

Fever I really enjoy the Simpsons. It's just a shame that I am starting to LOOK like Homer.

What's this supposed to prove in a VF vs. WoF argument?

VF will get a B&M and still keep the $20 million worth of major rides installed while your park was tossing coasters in the wood chipper, ya know?

Personally, I'd much rather VF didn't build a B&M and dropped $13 million on a wave pool, a new shower facility, a 12-slide tower and a couple food stands out past Excalibur. To date, there's exactly one--count 'em ONE--wavepool in the state. They could even predictably name it WhiteWater Kingdom and sell every other CF park's souvenirs. It's so much of a better fit in these parts it's not even funny.

Not that I've seriously researched it, but it seems the average new coaster realizes a 10-15% first-year increase in visitors while a new waterpark brings in a sustained increase instead. And just look at GL. Ten coasters couldn't bring 'em through the gates, but the new waterpark opens and BANG they get their numbers.

*steps off soapbox*

Well, here's hoping for a take-no-prisoner seven inversion layout. Heaven knows you've gone long enough without something good and major. That and a return to a million visitors a year.
