Even though Viper is mighty intense due to it's stats, Vortex has a little more to offer. I like the level/hard right before the brakes on the MCBR that Vortex has.

Viper is a great ride. Still relatively smooth, and it has the two most perfect corkscrews ever placed on a coaster. Forget the "snapping," I love to rolling feeling and hangtime that Viper's corkscrews have. It beats any B&M corkscrew by a longshot.

And the first drop is absolutely wonderful- love the way the track dissapears as you twist around. Who would have thought an Arrow megalooper would have a great first drop? That must be why I think so highly of Phantom's Revenge- same style drop- hyper coaster trains. :)

I actually rode "Viper" at SFMM last spring and it was one of the roughest rides I have ever been on.

I had wanted to travel there and ride it since it opened, so I don't want to discourage anyone from trying it, but ow. Really, really, ow.

Nonstop head-jarring and smacking against the restraint the entire time. It just wasn't enjoyable for me, or my brother.

Bill ,Viper is not bad when my Moose ears can stay on for the whole ride... Right?;)

The Golden Rule - Try it once and if you don't like you don't have to go on again!
