Favorite Themed Area In A Park

My favorite themed area is Ghost Town at Knotts. Not only are the rides here awesome (Ghostrider, Log Ride, Calico Mine Ride) but the scenery is perfect. Note that Disney's Frontierlands can't even begin to compare to this. I also like Paradise Pier at DCA for it's cool boardwalk atmosphere which in terms of theming (not rides) certainly beats Knotts Boardwalk.

I actually like Knott's The Boardwalk area the best from that park. The Ghost Town is just as good, but I like the colorful pop-culture and easy thrill-ride access from The Boardwalk. But DCA's Paradise Pier is definetely way more photogenic and resembles a boardwalk more than Knott's version (Knott's doesn't have that HUGE 'ocean')

DC Superhero Adventures at SFNE. Excellent theming-not just for Six Flags, it's excellent theming overall. Two crazy flat rides, two good restaurants, and the one and only SFNE:SROS. For some reason, this is the cleanest part of the park, 24/7. I have no clue why. They probably clean it the most is my geuss.

Southwest Territory at SFGAm. That is the best themed section of SFGAm. If they went through and took care of the theming issues in other parts of the park I think they could make the theming in other areas a lot better.

Without contest, the Dueling Dragons mideval area at Islands of Adventure. I've never seen more spectacular theming - not even at Disney, and the superb coasters just top it off. :) As for a larger space, I'd say Frontier Town at Cedar Point, only because I haven't been to that many themed areas, and the others I can't remember!

Gotta love Toon Lagoon at IoA!

The Lost Continent at IOA. The queue line for Dueling Dragons is incredible. Also, while Posiedon's Fury may not be all that great of an attraction, the theming out side (the look of the ruined temple and the tumbled statue) is great.

A close second is the Jurassic Park section of IOA... if only for the huge main gate to that section. Walking through there and hearing the music from the score of the movie sent chills up my spine.

Themed areas are Great. My kids love 'em. I'm just not very into heavily themed areas. But I do like the atmosphere in the Rivertown portion of PKI. It doesn't have many rides in it, but it just seems to have a good feel to it, and The Beast fits that atmosphere perfectly.

Id have to say Southwest Territory in SFGA. Its just, more realistic, other territorys dont reall change..

Old Britannia and Hurricane Harbour at SFSTL both have very nice theming

Tommorowland @ Magic Kingdom.

Never been to IOA though, so I don't know how it would compare.

Fiesta Village at Knott's has to be about the best themed area in a park. The detailing is second only to Disney.

IOA definitly wins with ANY one of their lands for theming, However nothing beats cruising down the main midway of CP. I love The 'old-feel' amusement park theming (and flat rides) mixed with state of the art new coasters.

And who can resist the corkscrew spanning right over your heads? Not me! Esp. with power tower, iron dragon, mantis, MF all around you.

I would have to say the Southwest Territory at SFGAm. For Six Flags, it's pretty good themeing. I really like the atmosphere, combined with new high-tech rides like the Giant Drop, Raging Bull, and Viper. It is by far the best section at SFGAm. Even though your in IL, you might feel like your in AZ or something. The only bad thing about it is that it is the most crowded area in the park. That's not much of a surprise though.

SFGAm's Southwest territory. I never realized it, but it is so muched better themed than the rest of the park (I'm not too observant of scenery, only what rides are around me.) The rest of the park just seems the same, except with another name (I'm not complaining about that or anything, just it makes it feel like an amusment park instead of a theme park)

I like the frontier trail at cedar point. Its a break from the hustle and bustle of the rest of the park, plus there are some great shops.
