Here's one that's totally off the wall, and probably a piece of cake for many of you...

Name a coaster-like ride that had once accommodated non-human riders.

Well I know that alot of coasters use like dummys when testing a roller coaster on on the track but you probably didn't mean that ;)

Do you mean total trains, either in operation or not or just trains in operation at one time?

^ The trick to his question is because they have King Kobra trains in the building. Never been to PKI, but i'm guessing 2 King Kobra and 2 FOF trains for a total of 4.

Fujiyama!

What was the first coaster over 200 feet tall? It's not Magnum.

Wasn't it Moonsault Scramble?

That's what I was thinking.

Anyone got anymore coasters with 3 or more lifts. So far we've only had one answer and I know of at least one other. Plus I'm curious to learn of any more.

Ok if those two coasters were built first, how can Magnum and Bull get away with promoting themselves the way they do.

Well Magnum was the first hyper coaster at least in the sense of what we view a traditional hyper coaster being. Moonsault Scramble was a shuttle coaster with track that was taller than 200 feet, but the entire train never reached that height. Moonsault Scramble isn't operating anymore, so it's basically a moot point.

Raging Bull was the first coaster that was referred to as a hyper twister. I'm not sure if B&M coined the term or not, but I don't remember people referring to Fujiyama as a hyper twister. But when looking back and comparing the layouts and determining what characteristics makes a 'hyper twister', it's clear to see that Fujiyama would meet all of the prerequisites and preceded Raging Bull. In short Fujiyama predated the term hyper twister itself but obviously is one.

Exagerating about a new coaster is nothing new. And with all the terminology that is used in different ways by the different manufacturers, there is always a little wiggle room. Just last year out here in Colorado, Halfpipe was initially announced as the first halfpipe coaster in the world (which is false) but was eventually changed to first halfpipe in the U.S. And everybody remembers the custom SLC over in England that was supposed to be the tallest and fastest inverted in the world. And Hades is being touted as the biggest coaster in the midwest. I can go on and on and so will Magnum and Raging Bull.

Here we have the same picture but from coaster gallery and they even say it was the first hyper twister. And they know their coasters :)

Well Corkscrewy, there are 12 B&M inverted coasters that have the layout of Batman:The Ride or are mirror images. One has been moved from Japan to SFNO. So if you're counting that coaster twice, then the answer is 13.

Ok I have a question, without looking it up, what is the theme song of Walley World from National Lampoon's Vacation. *** Edited 3/13/2005 2:13:36 AM UTC by MAGXL200***

I'll double that. Steeplechase at Blackpool Pleasure Beach has 6.

As for the B:TR question... Do you mean how many B&M "Batman the Ride" models are there which would include Great White at Sea World and a couple others, or do you mean how many coasters are named Batman The Ride? Cuz then the answer is 8... The 7 by B&M and a Vekoma SLC at SFM that was given the name. There was ALMOST another when SFKK was flagged, they were going to theme T2 as a Batman The Ride...

But then again, what do I know?
