Animation for Hersheypark's Turbulence

The Hersheypark website gives you a pretty good idea of what to expect. Is it just me, or does the ride look just a little unnerving for a "small & gimmicky" steel coaster?

It definitely looks like a good time. Those quick drops look pretty sick and the fact that you take some of them faceing backwards is even better ;)

The "nothing under you" aspect is the most thrilling to me. Look away from the structure and I'll bet it feels like you're floating!

To me, it looks like crap. But since it took the place of another ride that I thought was crap, I guess it's just par for the course.

Of course, there is the possible upside that this ride will pull people away from Storm Runner which, IMO, is a good thing. I just woner is there enough space in that area to place proper queing instead of the bastadized queue area for Storm Runner.

I think the ride looks like fun, but I think the loading times will be horrible. I think only 4 people can ride in each car. I have a feeling it will run slowly. Something like an Arrow Mad Mouse where you have 5 cars stacking.

It looks as if they have nailed it again. This park can do no wrong, and they have chocolate.

ROFL, Mooshie....and to think that THAT whip came from a company in Florida....

I guess all the good rides FROM Florida come out of Jax, huh? ;)

I applaud Hershey for attempting to bring back a classic, but wooboy does their Whip stink!

As much as Knoebels? As much as I love Knoebels, I have always found their Whip very lackluster.

Rob - its not so much the ride action but rather the way it was built. Poly wheels on a concrete floor? Not a good idea...that thing is friggin loud! It should be metal wheels on a metal floor.

I know my girlfriend won't go on this (she doesn't like heights and this would freak her out)...but I'm definitely looking forward to giving it a shot!

Haha no I'm not giving Patrick the finger

This ride is pretty much the opposite of the ride it replaced. Jerky, short ride, low capacity and ugly.

I had no idea that Hershey's Whip isn't "metal on metal"!

I can not wait to ride this thing! I think the rocking motion will make the ride much more thrilling.

I wonder if they will alow 2 cars on the "falling" track at once. this could speed up capacity. wonder why they just didn't add 2 more sets to each row and double the capacity?

I definitely prefer the MOM Whip over the COC Whip. ;)

It sort of reminds me of a cross between the rolling cages on the Wonder Wheel and a vertical wild mouse. Looks really, really fun!
