Animation for Hersheypark's Turbulence

Fun and cold.

Down is the new up.
I don't know if it's just the animation, or me looking at this at midnight, but didn't it seem like the horizontal sections have slightly different slopes, which made the car move at different speeds along each one? That would be cool since the drops wouldn't happen at the same time interval each time. Might just keep the riders off guard a bit. Weight distribution will probably have something to do with that too.

They're claiming 960 riders an hour. That's 240 cars in 3600 seconds, or a car every 15 seconds. Pretty ambitious. Could they intend to load a group of cars at once and send them out at certain intervals?

I'm also curious how the ride will be oriented on the site. Radial to the carousel? Parallel or perpendicular to the back wall of the old arena? Or to give people coming in from the entrance the widest view possible?

It looks like a good but short ride. Hershey has been impressing me year after year with their choice of additions. I am very lucky to call Hershey my homepark. Of course I could also say that Williams Grove is my homepark. ;)

I think it definitely looks like one of those rides with the ability to unnerve.

Heck, since Hydra/Kingda Ka/Tsunami are must hits that plan themselves, why not just pick this one up along the way in 2005? :)

Good point there Gonch!
