-cheers-

ANYTHING would be better in that spot than Whirwind- as long as it doesn't displace the Flyers.

I'm glad I got one ride in on this thing just so I could say I was on it. It wasn't much of a ride but it wasn't nearly as painful as I expected.

Now the big question is what will they replace it with (if anything)? I hope a certain rumor is true (and I won't say any more).

You can have it, RoS!

Bummer. I haven't visited the park yet, and I'm usually fond of old Arrow/Vekoma loopers. Hopefully somthing nice will replace it.

Jacob - go to www.rcdb.com and do an advanced search by manufacturer.

FYI, the leading rumor for a replacement coaster is a Zamperla Volare.

Roffles Moosh!

Sadly, Whirlwind is so boring that I didn't even care to reride by going again without leaving my seat. It's really underwhelming compared to the woodies and HSTC for that matter. Even the slide is infinitely more fun and amusing.

Dude, that slide is AWESOME. Ask Kristin for her 2002 PPP video for details. ;)

Please say rumors of a Volare are far from true. I know that the flying coaster is the newest craze, but I don't see how that would fit in at Knoebels (correct spelling btw). I was really hoping that they would go with something more suited for the park, like a Shwarzkopf shuttle loop or the Invertigo from Lisberg. I know...everyone seems to hate Vekoma shuttle coasters, but the Invertigo would be perfect for the site of Wirlwind, and the coaster showed us that low capacity isn't an issue with Knoebels (very efficient) staff. In addition Dick did say something to the effect of rescuing another coaster...so I wouldnt look to getting anything BRAND new since that is the style for Knoebels.

OH...thilly me...I just saw Zamperla, coaster, and my brain went into auto PLEASE NO! mode. Whatever it is going to be I trust that Dick and the crew at Knoebels will make sure that is just right for the park.

Real men ride wood... coasters that is!

Wow, and only $550,000l. Personally I'd love to see it replaced by a wild mouse, possibly a spinning mouse. They're a lot of fun and would fit the Knoebels style nicely, except for the fact that they probably wouldn't get it used.

Other than that...well, I don't see how they could squeeze SFGAm's shockwave in that space..;)

If you can't stand the heights, get out of the line.

I'm sure they could manage that after it gets Drachen Fired this off-season.
