How do you think the new Strata will run?

Maybe the discussion was getting too *heated* for him. ;)

The launch would go all the way, up until the incline part so it will launch through the whole track.I know thats one of the differences in the launches between the two. Don't worry SF got it, they changed for the better.

None of us know what, if any, modifications Intamin has made. Consider the Togo standups. While Shockwave and SkyRider look just like King Cobra on the surface, the two former are still running while the latter sits out in the boneyard. If Togo could make internal engineering changes to improve reliability, it's certainly possible Intamin can as well.

Were there actually reliability problems with KC?

They were much more interesting when Swoosh's posts were still intact and certainly more interesting than a topic/question with no real answer that has been completely *overdiscussed*. Maybe my eyes have a natural roll to them now though.

I think this is about as informative and meaningful as all the answers we could come up with for "what's the weather and crowds going to be like on the second Tuesday in August at Cedar Point in 2007 if they're building a 500 ft. coaster?"

+Danny, YMMV

Well, I'm sorry for contributing to a redundant thread that was a waste of time to read. When I actually have time to check out Coasterbuzz, it's usually just the headlines and the active forum topics on the homepage. I saw this topic and, not having read any of the other ones, decided to ask my questions here. I got most of what I wanted to know about the new rocket and I wasn't the one who started off on the weird tangent. No one even touched the S&S question. I was hoping for a technical discussion, but sorry to have wasted your time.

Kingda Ka is all over the news?!?

I can't find anything interesting about the Thrust Air coasters, but I do know that S&S isn't going to just build their coasters at random parks if they're not actually buying the coasters. I know the reviews were fairly mixed for Hypersonic and a lot of people say there's no comparison to the Intamin Rockets, so that could be part of it. Bad reviews aren't stopping parks from adding the Zamperla Volares though, so who knows? ;)

its kind of hard to answer a question no one here is qualifiedto answer. TA2Ks will be sold ifa park wants one, but apparently, they want rockets for some odd reason.

You wonder with all these reliability things with the massive intamin rockets if parks will begin to buy Thrust Airs. Or are they ( Dednopa and hypersonic) just as unreliable as intamin rockets?

I'm seeing TTD being the tallest and fastest coaster every other day. You see Six Flag's has signed a contract with Cedar Fair saying that their matenence team will be working on Kingda Ka keeping it only running every other day. Six Flag's is so nice! :)

I have been to sfgadv at least 9 times. All 9 times every coaster except viper was running. All had at least 2 trains running. I thin kviper doesnt run all the time because of a lack of employees. Everybody bashes Gadv maintanence but look at sfmm's maintanance. gadv's maintanance has allways gotten to a ride really fast. Also everybody has said sf copied cedar point. This probably was ordered in 2003 or 2002. Intamin probably fixed the parts of the coaster that cedar point had trouble with. Also most of the time i saw coasters go down at sfgadv was because of either adding an extra train on or somebody puking on the ride.
