And why would you go to an amusement park to stand around in an arcade?

Hmm..Pac-Man or Roller Coaster, what should I do?

The one thing I would care not to see at HW is an arcade with DDR machines. All that jumping and stomping would ruin the nice, peaceful atmosphere of the park. I can go to any mall arcade and play video games... I want rides at an amusement park!

HW desperately needs a darkride. With the theme of the park, there are endless possibilities!

Am I allowed to be an enthusiast if I've never seen a DDR machine (nor heard any mention of such a device outside of these forums)?

Oh man, Millrace...I wish I was as lucky as you. I've seen 'em and the people who play the game and I'm scarred for life ;)

I'm afraid to even look at the DDR forum! I got enough scars as it is without seeing that.

Hey, If holiday world gets another woodie, go with GCI. The out of controlness of Thuderhead would be perfect at Holiday world.

Why get a GCI when you have the likes of The Legend which in my opinion is much more powerful than any GCI that I have been on. Too bad it is just a little much for me to be able to power ride otherwise I think I would rank it higher.

Hmm, Legend Powerful? I disagree. I think SOB, Thunder Run, and Georgia Cyclone are all more powerful. That's why I rank them better(of course though, nobody else does, so my opinion's wierd anyway). And Thunderhead owns legend powerwise.

Question:If Legend is powerful, and Raven has air, then where else is there to go with woodies? Terrain?

As for DDR, well, you like it or you're afraid of it. :)

I think you are confusing the "power" on SoB with something else. I just can't put my finger on it. Hmmm. Oh yeah, it's called pain! :-)

I think the next place to go is air AND power. :) Oooooh he's so smart, maybe that's why he goes to Mizzou. ;)

Legend has no power? I can't remember riding a coaster that made my arms hurt from holding them up throughout the entire ride. If that's not power, I don't know what is.

Chaulk me up as one who thinks a darkride would be nice at Holiday World. A runaway mine train would be good too, but I would like to see a custom one built with wood laminated track instead of tubular steel. Did I hear GG/LoCoSuMoesk?

Sometimes you gotta think outside the box!!!

I'd love to see GG get some more work, especially considering how Hades is coming along!

Rob, I think if there's ONE thing the GG guys learned from their time at CCI, it's to NOT *overextend* themselves...

They *will* be getting more coaster work, but I don't expect them to take on more than one or two coasters at a time....ever.

Thrillerman...if it's a dark ride you want, wouldn't that be thinking INSIDE the box??

I'd rather die living than live like I'm dead

I think he's talking about a darkride/coaster combo like LoCoSuMo. Well, LoCoSuMo with a little more theming! That would satisfy the need for a darkride and all those people clamoring for another coaster.

rollergator: With Hades well underway, I would imagine that GG has a little breathing room to do another coaster for 2005. I also believe that they will get more work, I just hope we don't have to wait another 3 years!

LOL CPLady!! But actually Rob is correct in his assessment of my post. But your right if they just built a darkride, that would be thinking inside da box. ;)

i visited the park on Saturday.

Land clearing has already started next to Jungle Jets and the new lounge chair area for a new Splashin Safari attraction.

I also heard that they are simply replacing the Roundhouse ride with a newer model from a different manufacturer...i guess we'll see tomorrow if that is true.
