Screamscape confirmed that Holiday World will be removing their Hubritz Round Up.

So what will happen to that small site?
I love those type of rides and I thought perhaps they could replace it with a Dartron Zero Gravity which is an updated version of a round up or they could make that area into a desinated smokers area, or they could move the Tilt A Whirl there and put something else where the tilt is now.

Whadda Ya'll think?

A Breakdance would be nice- they're awesome rides, and they're a spinny ride that doesn't make me sick! I love them, one of the best flats.

Although it seems they are maintenance nightmares, I really like the Tumblers (like at Camp Snoopy and formerly at KBF).

The Roundup is a scrambler or a Twist in RCT, right?

Disk-O! They could theme it as one of those firecrackers that spins [what do they call those...?].

mOOSH [no idea, just guessing]

Do we know why they're getting rid of the ride? Low ridership, maintenance issues, or a new ride they already have in mind?

It was down every one of the times I was there except for one, and then maybe they had it up at SRM, I dunno.

ROFL, Rob!

I believe those Round-Ups are getting a bit long in the tooth, as they say, and it's probably hard on maintenance as well as increasingly difficult to get parts for...much like the Falling Stars/Flying Carpets of a year or two ago...

What to put there? KMG, baby, give me an Afterburner! :)

Whatever it is, I believe in HW. They know what the people want. I didn't like the Hallowswings at first, I thought to myself, "Couldn't they do better than swings?!" Now, it's one of my favorite non-coaster rides there is, (esp. cool at night with all the lights!).

THE SCARIEST PART OF THE RIDE IS THE LIFT HILL!

I thought that's where the entrance to the new Valentine's Day area was going. :-P

I survived a Japanese typhoon and the Togo flat ride of death!!!!!!

I guess I should explain the Roundhouse site. Think of a small trailer-mounted round-up shoved in against a wall with trees all around it giving just enough space to operate. The wall is cut into the side of a hill which gives just enough room for the ride to be placed.

Thats why I figured the Tilt a Whirl would work there. Perhaps they could biuild a large wheel to overlook Splashin' Safari on the Tilt Site if they moved it :)

Maybe the Tilt-A-Whirl will go where the Roundhouse is now, leaving room for something else to occupy that recently-vacated site. Hmmmmm...

Bill, Bill, Bill...my old pal Bill...

The Roundhouse was manufacturered in 1958. By an incredible coincidence, that is also the year of my...uh, manufacture.

What say you now? :)

Huss Magic. Its a great group-oriented mild thrill ride and no one else has it except Marineland.

Paula, thrill rides, much like our pets, *age* quite a bit faster than people. Wooden coasters, much like you and I, can still THRILL 'em well past our first century! :)

P.S. Whatever HW puts in that spot, or ANY spot, I'll be back...

P.P.S. Paula's teeth look fine to me! :)
