Next Giga-Coaster

What park do you think will have the next GIGA-coaster?

I have a feeling that the next coaster to top 300 ft will be the Japanese Thrust Air scheduled to open this year. Stan Checkets said it will go 107 mph. I have a feeling that it might just go around 300 feet at that speed!
Oh how I am counting the days till my fall tour which will take me to Japan for 2 weeks!

Jazzland has been rumoured to have got permission to build a ride over 300 feet... Supposedly they were in talks with Morgan too...

I may be dreaming, but Perhaps Knotts will get a giga for next year.

possibly SFMW with the rumored hyper coaster we might get lucky and end up with a giga. hey it could happen! :)

On Thrillride! Someone from my homeland said that his Dad runs Wonderland and told him that He's just put in plans for a 310ft Gigacoaster. It's to be named Zeus and in a new themed area called 'The Land Up in The Sky' or something like that.

I must admit I'm skeptical about this one, it'd be very expensive, what with our Hunchback versus your Greenback :( and planning permission. The tallest ride in the park is a 210ft Intamin Giant Drop, a Giga would dwarf that. The GD is a '95 1st Gen. 3 Car model that never has all three cars running at the same time & cost A$10 million. Well, GD by Intamin = Intamin Giga aka a MF clone or similar. That would be sweet. :)

I heard about hershey getting permission to build something over 300 ft but then again kissing tower is 330.

The best place for the next giga coaster is gotta to be off the Rock Of Gibraltar. This rock has tunnels within it which could be utilised. B&M get down to the rock and see what you could do with a height of over 500ft tall.

A park i think has a great chance of getting a giga coaster would be pki. They have plenty of land. They didn't spend very much money on reptar rollercoasters so that would mean they would have close to 2 years worth of money. That would leave them with plenty of land and money which is the perfect breeding grounds for a giga

PKI...I'm still waiting for there first hyper-steel coaster, let alone a giga.

HAs anyone have the New DVD roller coaster Thrills. In the bonus stuff, an interviewer asks a IOA person if they are having any big plans in the future and the IOA guy says, I can't tell you but it is BIG!! I also saw some photos of IOA and there is two areas that have broken ground! Maybe...

i think that Six Flags STL should get a news giga coaster b/c SFSTL doesnt get much & all the other SF parks are getting lots of coasters & stuff & SFSTL hasnt got anything recently

knotts could get one since they havent added a coaster for a while and they are selling wj. they have like 3 years of money and they sold a ride. they should easily have enough with their attendence figures. did u know that they get a lot more people in their park then sfmm. i can see a major addition in 2003!

Cedar Point is getting a pretty tall Thrust Air 2K for 2002, so you never know...

Those rumors about Hersheypark are still floating around, but I am not sure if it will be a hyper or giga. Anyone else heard anything?

They don't have the room for a giga, unless the get some kind of steep lift hill system, and a steep drop.
