Care to share a link or are you pulling that out of backside to give yourself a little credibility? The only mention of the sale I saw was the original press release and it made no mention that the web site or ride names would become public on April 1.

Have fun with that then.

Good grief, some people have no grasp of reality. It's not the end of the world here, people.

I am going to wait until they announce the names, and then they are going to announce them, and then I'll know what they are!

I don't care about the names, I just want to see Cedar Fair Dude have another triple post conversation with himself.

...and what's up with all these young people "freaking out"? We hired a girl at work and every little thing that was out of the way wrong, it caused her to "freak out". I swear it... she honestly said, "Sometimes, when I get one fork longer than the other, I really freak out!" (while rolling silverware for talbles) It was then that I promptly told her she freaked out about everything and if that was the case, perhaps she needed to go on some sort of chemical imbalance medication. :)

I love the part....
To attract attention from coaster enthusiast clubs, namely ACE, the SKY COASTER will be renamed the K.Y. Coaster.

In reference to this "cedar fair dude", in the words of Hank Hill: "That boy's not right I tell you what!"

I guess I don't understand why the names of rides at a park that was considered to be rather substandard is such a big thing. I mean, there are people out there obsessing (and in some cases rather creepily obsessing) about something as simple as a ride name. It's going to be the SAME RIDE... only the names are changing. If hearing the new name for an existing ride is the most exciting part of a person's day, then they must be leading a pretty sad life. Jeff has often said that some people need to get away from their computers and go do something outside the house. In this case, I couldn't agree more.

Would an SLC or Boomerang by any other name smell so... well, you know what I mean :)

As it was explained in the other New Names thread, everyone knows that as soon as the coasters are renamed by Cedar Fair they'll automatically be so much better. Heck, I've already moved Villain up in ranking from #40 to #5 just because Cedar Fair is purchasing the park ;)

Don't hold your breath on those ride names, kids... Its 10am and they haven't even launched the website yet. Did they ever say they were gonna announce names or launch the site today, or just that they were hoping to complete the purchase?

But then again, what do I know?
