We all know which parks have the best tasting food, (knoebels, cedar point, kennywood, etc...), however, which park has the cheapest food? I'd like to nominate Hersheypark for cheapest food... anyone else?

IB is reasonably priced, and tasty. I also once got a plate of fried rice at SFStL for $1.50. Can't beat that...

Hersheypark is no-where cheapest in any category. Kennywood is very inexpensive, as is Conneaut Lake, Lakemont, Waldameer, and Knoebels. The pattern here is that if you allow picnics in, you have to be competitive.

Hersheypark is overpriced on everything, and the quality you get for your money is questionable on lenty of items.

I'd say for quality and price it would have to be Knoebels. Under $2 for fresh cut fries and vinegar, and salt, and catsup. DAMN! now i'm hungry for Knoebels fries and it's only nearing the end of January! Now I have to wait 'till the end of April! Thanks alot SFGAdv lover. :(

I have always found HW to be very inexpensive and always good food.

The cheapest food by far at a theme park is the ABC gum underneath that seat or bench your at. ;)

I remember Delgrosso's having pretty high quality and inexpensive food. A rare combination.

I think the cheapest amusement park food I have come across is at Lakeside. I think it was a $1.50 for a slice of pizza. However...I don't think much amusement park is worth even a cheap price...

Does anyone know if Giant Eagle in the Pittsburgh area still carries the Potato Patch fries in frozen form.

KG, Kennywood and Delgrosso's (can't go wrong with their potato salad ;)) are right at the top of my list of quality and low cost. While HW's food wasn't too expensive, I felt the quality was pretty low whan I have eaten there.

Lord G, that was some good fun right there....gotta ask, were the fries as good as the ones at the park?

I have other questions, too, but they'll keep...:)

Should I be honest? ;)

Actually they were nowhere in the remote vicinity of the Potato Patch taste. That's not to say they were bad fries, they just didn't taste like PP fries.

(god, I'm finding the phrase "PP fries" really funny right now)

They were basically Ore Ida's with the skin still on them.

Several parks come to mind, however, Indiana Beach ranks the highest in selection/price/quality combined. It's always refreshing to find CHEAP and GOOD at the same time. :-D

I am probably the only one who's going to choose Disneyland for the best cheap food. But it's only for one restaurant in the entire resort, the River Belle Terrace. It is a cafe style restaurant with three to five plates to choose from. Their prices are only a few dollars more than what you would pay outside of the park for the same food ($8 or $9, can't remember exactly). You can choose outdoor seating on the terrace and bussing service for the tables. Very affordable and very enjoyable. We ate breakfast and lunch there each day durring our stay.

My worst food experience goes to PKI. $15 for burnt pizza, a salad and desert. YUCK and OUCH! I read they've got new managment and are building restaurants but I'll bet they'll be even more expensive.

Going back to the Kennywood Fries question... yes, I saw a bag or two yesterday when I was running the register.

I'd have to nominate Kennywood and Knoebel's also.

AJ, when's the last time you visited Conneaut? This summer it was $3 for a medium-sized pop, my crappy laying-in-a-warming-drawer-for-6-hours-burger was the size of a McDonald's burger and was over 3 bucks, too. Across the board, their prices were as high or higher than any park I've visited. (I just sucked it up and considered it a donation to keep the place open.)

You mean your hands are always like that? I just figured that you had recently had some cheese-covered-cotton-candy type accident that time.

Im going to say the buffet at Cedar Point. I spent 10 bucks for all you can eat and the food was very good.Desserts and drinks included.
