CP lagoon island question

I also guessed a flat ride, but the footers make me wonder...

Stealh was annonced in june 1999. The ride opened around in march 2000, thats makes it approximately 8 months. Another lil' stealh factoid is that it was constructed in under 3 months!

I Dont see why cedar point would put a flat ride on the lagoon. For one it is good space for a coaster. 2 why would they put a flat ride on an island so guest would have to walk from either side to get to it, I can see this for a coaster because it would leave plenty of room for the queve lines. And finally why would the point use valuable space for a flat ride when they could add a coaster and regain their title as the park with the most coasters
