CP lagoon island question

I know part of Millennium Force is on the island, but does CP have plans to put any thing else on it?
It's probably a matter of time til "something" else inhabits the island...
Well, there is the boneyard there. It was moved there to make room for Lighthouse Point.

The boneyard is actually on the mainland side of the lagoon.

I though Litehouse point was being constructed near Camper Village?

This flight won't be cancelled!
It is... He's saying that the boneyard was moved to the island (away from Mean Streak/Camper Village) to make room for Lighthouse Point.

I was at cp towards the end of the summer, believe me they are going to build a coaster or some other big attraction there soon. on paddle wheel excursion i seen some bulldozers concrete mixers and some concrete already poured. I had prevously talked to the paddle wheel excursions boat opp. before so i asked him what was going on. He told me it was going to be a coaster which will debut in 2002. This could be quit so because it is the perfect place for a coaster, They were laying coaster support cement blocks, and cp is kind of obvious they are going to go crazy for 2002 season on coasters
They could have been laying drains or reinforcing the side of the lagoons. They have been there since before the turn of the century.
Which century? ;)

Matt Lynch, who is amazed he can actually say that...

I am pretty sure that Cedar Point is NOT going to be laying out support cement blocks 2 years before a new coaster. Name one park that hasn't announced a new coaster for the upcoming season 2 years in advance, but already laid out the supports!!! It doesn't take 2 years to plan a coaster, and they are not going to lay out the base years in advance because of the potential for changes & aging.

It's virtually impossible. There's a lot of planning that goes into constructing a coaster, and that definately is not what those "cement supports" were for!

Alton Towers
SW3 SW4 and now SW5
Sure we knew SOMETHING was going on, but we didn't know exactly what.

and from what I heard they started pouring supports last year for SW5 - two years before it will open (2002)

Blackpool is the only park that laid footers 16 months in advance.
Don't forget Project Atlantis at Thorpe Park. Same could go to Oddysee (How do you spell that?) at Fantasy Island. Funny, the UK is the only country that does this.

I think they have such a zoning problem with construction and heights. They just need a head start wherever possible.
If Stealth tested for a year, how long was it from announcement to opening?

For one thing cp is always quiet about new attractions, And another thing parks dont just decide they need a coaster and build one next month. It takes several months to build and then it has to go through at least two months of testing. Everybody says cp isn't get anything next year I think this is probably true but still there is that chance they could release something toward the end of the summer. Any ways I seen two bulldozers, a cement mixer and cement blocks like on coaster supports. This is what i seen so i am sticking to it. All I can say is that cp will get a new coaster on the island soon.
I've also heard of quite few orange track sections on flat bed trailers going down the causway...maybe they are doing something....

I heard it over at GTTP. I don't believe it though. If there were in fact orange "track sections," then I would guess that they are peices for a flat ride, not a coaster.
