I think any park that drops $15+ million on a world-first ride like Stealth is out to get the thrill-seekers attention. Any reasonable person would agree.
Of course, there's a risk involved in doing that. You could have maintenance problems (like SOB), a late opening (like Volcano) or even miss a whole season (like both Mr. Freeze rides). Then again, some may think that your ride isn't so great after all.
On the other hand, PGA management are people, too. Why would they go out on a limb and introduce another new, conceptual coaster or thrill ride--if posts like yours are the payoff?
