Has PGA done enough to get the thrillseekers atten

There is no need for Michael Jackson to be played at the park.
michael jackson dont be on no more u guys trippen... PGA to me is more in the HIP HOP , TRANCE TECHNO catergorie because they are sponsered by WILD 949 and 106KMEl those too is the most popular stations in bay area and that we be having MULTICULTURAL celebrations i think PGA and maybe SFMM is every music . you see others singing heh
I think with an Impulse coaster at SFMW PGA has made a drastic mistake for the 2001 season. es the do alot for the thrill seeker but it seems the Psycho Mouse isn't enough being up against an Intamin Impulse coaster. It is a great looking coaster but probably under the circumstances of this season a bad investment.

true... should of gotten a ARROW HYPERCOASTER than
Flashback, how is the PGA mouse a bad investment? It's an old fashion coaster the whole family can ride, not just teenage thrillseekers. This idea that the only way to compete is to add big rollercoasters is so short sided. Never mind the fact that V2 will probably be shut down every other time you visit the park, while the mouse will run all summer. Paramount learned their lesson last year when Stealth and SOB failed to boost attendance, now their doing the smart thing, going for the families.
PGA plays 80's music in the fornt and modern music in the back it is awesome! I do love the paramount movie themes that used to be there like you would hear the Dragnet theme and stuff like that! What do they pther paramount parks play?
whenever im on grizzly or demon i can hear the music from the make your own music video thing and its fun to sing along with it on a coaster.

are you ready to go vertical?...V2 2001...
But PGA's rides all seem to be rather tame, I went on the Demon when I was 6, the Griz was destroyes by making the design more "family oriented" They need to invest in one Severe major extreme coaster, and some good flat rides would be nice too

Some times you people make me wonder. PGA is a family park. And anyways parks usually dont make enough money or want to invest 15 million Dollars each year on rollercoasters. IF they did that for one thing they more than likely would go bankrupt. Dont forget parks build coasters To bring thrill rides to the park and help reduce lines for the FAMILY attractions. I do agree with you on the mouse no being the best investment but if it helps keep people coming to the park then they will go big next year
im with you 100% JORDON DUNHAM i dont see why we are complaining i mean we just got stealth and if the wild mouse helps us get a better coaster next year then thats fine with me. you guys can complain all you want but why'll you're doing that ill be riding psycho mouse.

are you ready to go vertical?...V2 SFMW 2001 ...
i think people complains which i kind of do is that because other parks such as SFMM and SFWoA etc. they all get big coasters everyyear like over 100 ft or 200ft thats y.. PGA why arnt they like them/? i mean they get coasters everyyear and there successful whats wrong with PGA?
IMO, yup PGA has done enough to get the thrillseekers attention. they're obviously a family park.

Quit ya cryin' & whining!! You have a decent coaster collection - Stealth, Invertigo, Vortex, Demon, Grizzly, Greazed Lightning and more.

My home park has just the Demon (1988 Vekoma Boomerang), Bush Beast (1985 KEC clone of your Grizzly - ouch!) and the Beastie (1985 KEC junior woodie)!!

You yanks are spoilt rotten!!! :)

Don't forget PGA has a height limit of about 175ft(Am not 100% sure about this), therefore a Hyper or Giga won't happen.

Home Park - Wonderland Sydney, Australia.
A hyper is possible. PGA has a height limit of 175 feet, but i doubt they are restricted on how deep they can dig. Just look at Alton Towers. They have a height retristion but they dug a HUGE hole and put one of the worlds best coasters in it (Nemesis). What is the lift was 175ft and then dropped into a tunnel, bam! a drop over 175 feet. A hyper is possible and very very likely at PGA
well for this 175ft height restriction.. PGA was really planning a JUNIOR HYPER coaster.. but canceled it.. CAN any one tell me what kind of coasters can be in 175ft tall?? except a floorless which SFMW have i dont think PGA would copy them... because if they were planning a JUNIOR HYPEr i think they shouldnt and should have loops and big inversions.. maybe a speed coaster?
Carr76013, good point! That would be cool. I meant an above ground Hyper. So whaddya call a 175' coaster with a 200' drop that goes underground? Semi-Hyper? *** This post was edited by CoasterGod on 3/4/2001. ***
Lets bear in mind PGA has gotten a 224ft. clearence before, and I agree it is a family park but with SFMW in the picture and the PGA attendance having droped about 60% since SF bought MW they need to somehow compete, lets not forget there were rumors of a Tilt coaster and the serious possibility of getting the TA2k last year neither of which I feel can be called a family ride

What did they get the 224ft clearance for? PGA doesn't have a Drop Zone Tower does it? 60% drop?? They really need to fight back.
yes PGA has a 224 foot drop zone. i dont know if the attendance dropped that much but i know stealth didnt bring as much attendance as they expected.

Which is exactly why no big attraction is going in this year. Why keep losing money on big rollercoasters when it's obvious that it's family attractions that bring people people into the park. SFMW can keep building big rollercoasters but guess what, until they expand that park it's going to be overcrowded and unpleasant on a Saturday afternoon. BTW, the 224ft structure is a "single" structure, alot easier to get clearance for than one with several points over 100ft. That's not going to happen at PGA. *** This post was edited by Matchbox 32 on 3/4/2001. ***
PGA HAS A DROP ZONE which is over 200ft... and i think its possible for them to get a hyper but its really PGA decision to get over 200ft or not becuase i email them my suggestions about wut type to get.. so if maybe alot of people email them or petition they will get one hehehe
