I'll like it much more when it's got more than a hill and some curves. And Korn, I DON'T care which one is faster, I'm just saying that it's not THE fastest, like some people (and I DON'T mean you) seem to think. Also, if you had read my earlier post in this topic, you would have seen that one of my favorite coasters is High Roller at Valleyfair, which runs much slower than 75 MPH. But anyway, I'll like the TA more ("on paper") when it has more than a hill, turns, and a station. And I probably WILL like it when I ride it, because of the verticalness, and speed, although I'd like a slow lift hill. And I'll probably like it even more (off and on paper) when it has lots of stuff (or "elements"), like a "real" roller coaster.
Also, Intamin Fan, you're right. If it's starting out at 80MPH UP the lift hill, it won't be a very long ride, because it doesn't really have much other than brakes to slow it down any.
For a summary of what I think about TA2K and HyperSonic, here's GandC's post:
"The actual layout of Hypersonic sounds extremely boring. Up, down, around a few curves, station. BORING. Sure it's got a 0-80mph in 1.8 seconds launch, but will that keep me coming back for more? Well, maybe. I'm not really interested in the Hypersonic, but I AM interested in the 350+ft., 100+mph versions that S&S wants to build [LS: and ones with more than hill, hop, curve, station]. There are very few rides that break 100mph, (read: none) and I think it would be very cool to see some."
That is all... for now.
