Closest Clones

I know they're not that close, but with Stealth headed to PCW next year, and Batwing pretty "close." I have to think that the novelty will not have as much of an impact. (I definitely heard many people say in line for GAdv's S:UF "This is like that Batwing coaster in DC).

Just wondering what the closest (geographically) clones are (not racers or "the same coaster" (primeval whirl)).

There are 2 mirror imaged Herbert Schmeck coasters in the Chicagoland area. They are both called Little Dipper and are at Kiddieland and Hillcrest Park.

Well Mind Eraser at SFDL and Top Gun at PCW are pretty close, I'd say under 100 miles.

I'm sure one of the many boomerangs out there wins. Off the top of my head - Boomerang at Great Escape and Flashback at Riverside

Flashback at SFNE and Zoomerang at Compounce.

Only 37 miles apart the way the crow flies according to RCDB

Well, duh people are going to say SUF "is like that Batwing" 'cause they both place riders in similar flight fashion and are pretty new and stand-out concepts to visitors at the parks.

Wicked Twister / Superman Ultimate Escape

Mulholland Madness / Treetop Racers

Invertigo / Boomerang (this is kind of similar)

Top Gun / Kong

"kraxleridah" Top Gun/Kong? I hear GP talk about how different they are... Mulholland Madness/Treetop Racers? Wow, never heard that one, and they aren't even that much alike. That's like saying Montezooma and Revolution are considered to be near clones.

How about the Dallas-San Antonio (~250 mi.) corridor of clones:

Flashback (SFOT)/Boomerang (SFFT)

Batman (SFOT)/Great White (Sea World)

There's also a Vekoma Boomerang at Dixie Landin' in Baton Rouge, roughly 80 miles from the Vekoma Boomerang at SFNO.

I think this one is going to be hard to beat as these are only 27 miles from eachother.

Different layout wise. Kong is packed in a small footprint while Top Gun roams in an out n back fashion, But all in all Top Gun and Kong operate under the same concept. Feet-dangling seats suspended beneath steel trackwork with loopy turns :). So they are similar. Plus, the author of this thread noted SUF and Batwing's similarities, and I don't see how different that is from this.

More similar because they are more of a unique. Yeah that V2, it sits on a small footprint, with feet dangling seats suspended below the steel track work, with those loopy "turns." It also goes out and comes back, goes out and comes back. OH MY GOD IT IS JUST LIKE TOP GUN AND KONG!

WT and S:UE are not clones either.

The Hurlers are pretty close.

Taxi Jam at Carowinds and Python Pit at Jeepers in Concord are pretty close.

The Wild Mice at Dorney and Hershey. They aren't by the same company but who other than us coaster geeks would know that. I'm sure the GP couldn't tell the slight differances.

Actually Stealth is headed to PC (Paramount Carowinds), not PCW (Paramount Canada's Wonderland). Why can't everyone just type out the name instead of being so dang lazy all the time.

If we weren't talking about coasters but rides in general, I'd declare the closest clones VF's Northern Lights and KCS-MOA's Screaming Yellow Eagle at 15.8 miles' distance.
