Niagra Falls to Cedar Point are they that close?
I get on the 90 at the William Street entrance, and depending on if there is any road work, you can easily go 60 mph throughout the whole trip, which is not an outrageous speed. If you have to stop for a luch for an hour, then yes, it does take over 5 hours to get there. But since I usually leave early in the morning and eat a roll in the car, I don't have to stop until I get to the park, which has averaged 4:19 over the last 5 trips I have taken (and I know this for sure since I keep track of gas milage; 3:55, 4:12, 4:08, 5:16, and 4:04).
Although it looks like it's really out of the way, taking 80/90 and getting off at Milan Rd actually seems to take less time. Every time I have gone (except for the first visit of the season this year) I take that route. For the "season opener," I took 2, and it added about 30 minutes on to the trip.

Hey, I put an order in for one of them Star Trek transporter thingies. Everytime I call the manufacture to see how the order is coming along they keep telling me that they have the atom deconstuction part down pat but all heck breaks lose when they try and reassemble the atoms back into the right order. Ive taken the trip to Niagara Falls, On probably around 50 times in the last 5 years, and only one time it took me more than 3 1/2 hours that was fouth of july a few years ago and that time it took us about 4 hours. Then from my house to CP it usually takes around a hour, and niether of those times are really with speeding, that pretty much going with the flow of traffic and stoping once for a few minutes. Then don't even talk about speed traps, if you keep your eyes on the road you can read where the cops sit, You must be high risk as far as insurace goes. And just about every winter I travel 90 through PA getting off at 86 towards Holiday Valley and I have never ran into cop problems. So if you have time try stepping outside of your fantasy world and take a step into reality. And as far as the traffic in cleveland just drive though that area before 7am or after 9- 9:30 am and traffic will not be an issue. And all that is really not speeding 65- 70 mph isnt speeding the speed limits for most of the way is 65mph, Safety isn't even an issue here, safety is an issue at any speed, but as long as your not the moron slamming back and forth through traffic and going about 85 mph then it may be unsafe.

I just did that trip about a week ago and I can confirm even with traffic, road construction, and doing an average 75mph (55mph in construction zones), etc we were able to make it from Niagara Falls to Cedar Point in about 4 to 5 hours. I think it was closer to 4 hours.

Driving with my dad it took about 4 3/4 hours to get from Tonawanda (just outside the city of Buffalo) to Cedar Point. Now keeping in mind that my dad is a pretty slow driver, the trip would've been under or around 4 hours 30 minutes. Now parkenthusiast, I'm gonna have to side with some of the people who think you're crazy. From all the times that it took for people that I know (including myself) the average time was 4 hours and 30 minutes. It all depends on what kind of a driver you are and if no unusual circumstances disrupt your driving. Yes I have taken into consideration traffic, lights, and all those things; they really don't have as much impact as you would like to think. We left at 9 a.m., got there, spent the night, and drove home the next day. So it wasn't even bad traffic during the middle of the day.

From where I live, on the east side of Cleveland, it takes 1 hr and 10 min. to get to CP. It takes me a about 2 hr and 40min. to get to Buffalo. So, by my experience, Niagara Falls to CP in 4 hrs. is about right.

Boy its a shame that you wouldn't want to be on a driving trip with me, parkenthusiast. You seem to base that fact on the premise I don't know where I'm going. Well, I can tell you don't often make the trip, but even though 80/90 goes south of Sandusky, it is only about 10 miles south, and often the turnpike moves much faster than 2. If you look back I mentioned getting off on the 2 as an option as well. It generally is a slower drive though.
Why don't you stop being such an a** to everyone, and simply make the drive some day. Everyone else is saying 4-5 hours except you, so why don't you just accept the fact you're wrong and quit insulting people.
HEY HEY…. COOL IT WITH THE NAME CALLING…. My original message reply was and still is that the trip from Niagara Falls New York to Cedar point Sandusky Ohio takes longer than four and half hours. I do not need to change my position on this just because there are a few people in this message thread that cannot hold a civil conversation and WHO HAVE NEVER DRIVEN FROM NIAGARA FALLS TO CEDAR POINT. I think these few people should put up, take me up on the season pass offer, or shut up actually. We are not talking about North Tonawanda, Buffalo, Depew, Lancaster, West Seneca instead we are talking about Niagara Falls as the origin point. That is North of Buffalo a little ways UP. No one should be TRICKED in to believing that such a trip can COMFORTABLY and SAFELY be made in four and a half hours or less when it cannot be. I drove the route twice and my cousin drove the route once.

Blaster seems to be in touch with reality, and so am I, I have basically driven the route from NF, (Cliffton Hill) to my house, just off I 90 / I 271, which averages 3 1/3 hours, and then from my house to CP via I90 to Rt2 takes about an hr. Thats only stopping maybe once for a few mintues, Safety isnt an issue its an idependent varible that has no cause in this arguement because we are talking safe speeds (65-70), at usafe speeds it could be as low as 3 1/2 or less,

Hmmm.....the fact that you allege that I havent' made the trip, when I have, is what I have a problem with. And you know what, Cleveland is not a hard city to navigate. Minus dead man's curve, traffic flows well through the city and it's not confusing at all, not when you're staying on the 90 the whole way.
I live 15 minutes east of Niagara Falls in Lockport, I have made the trip toCP several times. It takes about 4 1/2 hrs. You also might want to take in mind that it's highway construction season and it seems like everytime I have made the trip, have run into construction zones in PA. I am heading out to CP on 8/11 for a few days. Will be glad to let you know how long it took, and if there is any road construction.
