I did a search on rcdb for all operating wood coasters and sorted by height. The tallest woodie I'd place in the "love" category is Ghostrider, at 118 feet.

I'd have to side with you there Sr. M. The giant ones just don't seem to do it form me.

Frequency beats amplitude!

Yes, but we know proper spelling.

mOOSH [I'll leave it up to SFNE dude to figure out what his error is.]

All I have there mOOSH is a spelling error....but then again, *immaturity*, IMO, is a good thing...:)

edit: Ghostrider, for me as well, maxes out the height/goodness ratio...;)

Don't forget to smile when you write stuff like that SFNE Dude! :)

And who ever told you that clean thoughts had anything to do with maturity was mistaken...just ask my *very* mature grandfather...

Hey Gator, what's wrong with your sig? Hydraulic problem perhaps? ;)

I dunno jf....Intamin swore to me they had all the bugs worked out in their previous version of this sig...;)

Then again, I had them in charge of the whole *maturity* fiasco as well....so....;)

What did I spell wrong? Seriously, tell me. There is no one that hates spelling errors more then me. I don't see anything wrong.

You used the wrong version of the word "than":

"You people are more immature then me and I'm only 14."

It should be "than", not then. Common error. :)

Also, it's "than I", as in "You people are more immature (or less mature) than I am." Add the verb and you'll know whether to use I or me.

Sorry, the grammar queen is coming out in me. ;)

"than" is comparative....."then" is temporal....;)

as in: I am older THAN you, but I'm more immature THAN you too....:). Later, you'll be older, but by then I'll be older too....and STILL more immature! :)

note: proper use of smileys to indicate whatever it is they're supposed to indicate...

I actually just realized it right after I wrote my last post and just didn't feel like changing my post but thanks anyway for giving me a lesson in phrasing then and than. I always screw that up.:)

Shivering Timbers is the most magnifcent big woodie I've ever experienced.

I'll drive the 3+ hours for a ride any chance I get.

That must be love?

If you could classify it as big wood gotta love ghostrider. Just has a wild untamed feel to it. Glad to see a corporate park has the guts to run it the way it is supposed to be run.

This is a toughie for me. GASM and The Beast are probably my 2 most fav big woodies I've ridden. Do the Georgia Cyclone and Texas Cyclone fall into this category? If so, I'd have to include those 2 as well, with the Georgia one slightly edging out the one in Texas. Screamin' Eagle is also on my list. Yeah, I'm old school baby.

70' and under is small in my book. Over 100' is big (woodie-wise) by my standards and 130'+ is GRANDE (size-wise anyway). The best of the GRANDE woodies for me has been Texas Giant.

The Boss all the way! That is the only reason I go to SFStL anymore.

I agree with you 100% on the ptc's. Were you there on media day when they had the eagle trains on it? I heard that it ran great with those trains.
