I love the speculations and conclusions that are being drawn....

I think the obvious is being overlooked here. Paramount Parks is getting a touring Tomb Raider "Cradle of Life" stunt show at each of the parks. PKI's will arrive the week the movie is released, I believe.

It is my belief that these items may be promotional pices for that show and nothing more. Ala Dominion's artifcats promoting their run of the show.

However I do suspect that a new ride announcement is juuuuuust around the corner.

How about this? You know those segway motorized thingies? The ones that aren't selling worth a darn? Bet PKI could pick some of those up cheap, add "chariots" around them and turn them into a bumper car ride.

CPLady who thought she'd get into the speculation ;)

now we are seeing statues and its automatically a coaster.

Watch out for China, then. ;) I'll book my flight now.

On another note, Segways are selling reasonably well; about what you'd expect for a $5,000 piece of equipment. Segway won't gain mass popularity or exposure until it's finally used in a rental situation, like theme parks. Former Disney Imagineer, Eddie Sotto, reviewed the Segway pre-launch to determine if the Walt Disney Co. wanted to offer them for use at its theme parks. Ultimately, they decided that seeing hundreds of Segways parked outside all of the attractions would be a visual distraction. (Strollers are okay, though.)

Anyway, back to making those travel arrangements. :)

It is just a prop. Go to www.tombraidermovie.com then click on pictures then click on low or high res pics of luna temple and there you'll see the same statue in the park.

Thanks for clearing that up BA, but I still want my themed specialty sitdown restaurant with "Caesar" salads and real lightning.

Even though this is not for a new coaster i still feel next year is the year for a new coaster. There last big coaster was SOB in 2000. I think they have been smart by adding these "smaller" rides the past few years but its now time for another big coaster. I predict a large steel with no loops.

Yep, Big Andy is correct.

It's a prop from the new Tomb Raider movie. Oh well... The speculation was fun while it lasted.

It's official. All it is is props for the Tomb Raider show coming late July. Sorry to all of you who got your hopes up over this. And there you go Jeff and Mike, you won't have to listen to rumors about it anymore.

Well, I hope the stunt show will be good. Between that and the magic show in the Paramount Theater, it seems PKi may have two good shows. Isn`t Paramount`s Carowinds having the stunt show in the Paladium, (similar to PKI`s Timberwolf)? Why is Pararmount`s Carowinds having the show in the Paladium, and PKI at International Showplace? I can`t wait to hear the anouncement about next year! Just how far is the anouncement around the corner?

I've never seen this much hype over a statue! One prop and the board lights up with coaster guesses!

I doubt that anyone makes a 300ft wood coaster soon. All tall woodies need very high maintanence and often very rough.

Now if they'd just complete the statue and put it on the back wall of TR:TR and illuminate it while you're hanging upside down.....

Colin, it's not 300ft, it's 450ft launched, as redman put. It is from S&S' woodie division, and it'll have a Hypersonic style launch, with Hypersonic's pneumatic wheels, so it'll be nice and smooth. Just ask anyone.

PKD installs statues and everyone says "TombRaider:TheRide II"

PKI installs statues and the next thing you hear is a "Their First B&M"

So if and when Carrowinds installs the statues, what will be said then?....... "A Stroller/Kid Wash"
