Drachen Fire Trains

I was searching the web for pictures of Drachen Fire's layout and I noticed that a few websites mentioned that Drachen Fire had ( at the time ) new prototype trains. If this is true, can someone explain how they were different from other Arrow trains?

I know it was scrapped (duh) but the station house and the the trains are still there last time i heard.

That's correct Alex, but I'm afraid that you are a little behind the times.

Most of the buildings for the ride are still there and easily visible from the train, but I couldn't see if any of the ride trains were in storage.

The tains are still stored in the building.

Is their any definate plans of a new attraction going in that area?

At the moment it is an open field, however when they usually leave the station & coaster storage house, the parks plan on building a new coaster to replace it, one that is better and not painful.

Bush Gardens needs a woodie. Very badly!!!! There is so much potential there!!!

I dont think they are going to put a woodie there. I dont think there going to put anything there at all. The last time I rode the train they took out everything(cement,metal fence genaraters etc...)and they just built a big fence at the side of the october fest building. Looks like to me they are just closing off the area for good.

Do you have pictures of this?

Why are you all so pessimistic? If they plan on putting another attraction there in the future, it makes sense to get rid of the old footers and clear the site.

Don't be crackn' on TOGO. One of the manufactures had to break the ice.

This thing with Drachen Fire was sad, but get over it. I experienced the removal of two SBNO coasters in my hometown as well.

Back onto the trains. I'm 99% sure that essentially, they are the same underneath (i.e. nothing new in the mechanical department). The changes are mostly cosmetic or comfort related. Apart from the obvious (a much more rounded sleek look), the restraints are made from a really cushy soft material, not the normal plastic you expect from Arrow. And yes, they do have lights. Not headlights, but lights around the centre of each car (which I believe are electromagnetically powered through the wheels).

The trains were first seen on Drachen Fire, and the two other Arrow loopers that were built in the 90's that aren't called Tennessee Tornado, Adventuredome's Canyon Blaster and Luna Park Sydney's Big Dipper (which is of course now Cyclone at Dreamworld).

That is true but wouldn't they be exteding the fence over to the tracks to make it more obvious they were planning on a new coaster (Please!) soon?

I still wish I had sen some pictures of whats left, but the site that had them is down now.

I could sware that the trains had breaks actually on the them to slow the cars down incase it speeds up too much. I don't know about that, so take it with a grain of salt.
