Drachen Fire Trains

I dont have any pictures. I saw the site when I rode the wild izzy and when I rode the train. Next time I go to BGs ill take a few snapshots or ill see if I cant find any already posted on the internet. Then fence they put up looked like it wasnt gonna come down. They dont even have some sort of door or gate to get into the area where drachen fire once stood. When I was riding the train all that was left was a big field with some dirt and weeds. They took out all the genarators, rocks, and all the plants(buschs, small trees, flowers etc...)The ground was unleveled, and there were still dirt holes were they took out the supports. Also they took out the only two roads that lead to the area.Dont take my word for it becuase I could be completly wrong.BGs has always kept there new rides a secret. I only know as much as you do,but to the looks of it BG is just going to leave that area to the weeds.

Matt , we're looking for pictures of the site as it is today, not pictures of the actual coaster.
*slaps forhead* I completely forgot about google. Even though were looking for pictures on how it is now it's a great feeling to see drachen fire again.
Well, you can't exactly search the web for "dirt that Drachen Fire used to sit on" So I searched for the most logical item, the coaster itself. What was I thinking?
Lol I tried searching for differnt ones like Drachen Fire 2002 and Drachen fire new site but all came back with nothing.

The trains are gone. when we were there in july last year we took the train ride and the track inside the shed is gone as are the trains. there were plywood covering the openings. as for somethign goung there.

part of the reason DF failed was it;s poor and hard to find location. the ride sucked yes but it was hard to find it was out of the way you had to go aroudn the fest house and behin dit a ways. BGW is using the space for a day camp. I got info about the camp later last summer as a passport member. nothing is going there excep tmaybe some more picnic shelters,

Slipknot........if you said there was a fence around the site.. how do you know that the footers, generators, buildings, trees, etc. are gone?? wouldn't you be looking at a fence??

just a thought

Josh

I't's a chain link fence, it was there when the coaster was, it's not new.

actualy I even think somethign wasa nnounced to the effect that busch was going to use that space for a day camp not just rumors here on the site.

J Bird The train ride goes right past the area and I got a better view of the whole site when I rode the wild izzy.

Bush Gardens needs a woodie. Very badly!!!! There is so much potential there!!!

I heard somwhere that Busch Gardens can't put in a woodie; due to the noise and complaining neighbors! Is that true??

One of Drachen fires reason for being shut down was for the noise so that might be true, but they could just put one in teh middle of the park so nobody would hear it outside of BG. BG has always gone for the higherclass rides(not trying to bash on woodies) that are easily themed, smooth and not rough, enjoyable, and the safest.
I thought the Reason DF Closed was because of it's remote Location, and that Nobody could ever find it. So what would make them want to put another Big Ride Back on that Field?

Low ridership and complaints doomed DF, not location. Thunder Run may be the most difficult coaster to find at any park, but because it's the best, people are willing to wander around for 2 hours looking for it.

I'm not an enthusiast. I just play one on message boards.

So BGW is getting the daycamp that is already at SWO & BGT on animals and thrills?

Check out rcdb.com and search for Drachen Fire for one or two pictures of the corkscrew which was removed.
