Preview topic

In other forums, you can preview posts which is good because you can see if it looks okay. Not a big deal but it would improve the site.

Edit: changed topics to posts, I meant to say posts.

One are you really going to learn about a topic, and perhaps its dozens of posts, by what amounts to less than one sentence?

A lot of forums have a lot of features, many included because they can add them, not because they should.

Well i guess for the topic creator it might help a little, but if you dont like it you can always delete it on your own if it didnt turn out the way you wanted.

Like Jeff said, alot of places have tons of options that may not even be used very frequently. This would probably fit into that category.

I'm not certain whether I understand the suggestion or not...

But based on coasterdude04's comment, I don't think WILLDOG is talking about a topic preview so much as a pre-post message preview, for instance to see if your tags work the way you think they do.

POPForums used to have that feature. I think Jeff yanked it when he added the WYSIWYG editor for MSIE users. It might be useful for some of us who use other browsers, but for the most part I don't think I'd use it.

The "Delete" & "Edit" features on Coasterbuzz are sufficient for this purpose. The "Preview" feature isn't really needed, in my opinion, as you can remove or edit your post immediately if you don't like it.

Yes, you all right on the part that the edit option is fine, I just thought a preview button would help make writing posts better.

So are we talking about previewing your post then? That I can see. I left it out of this version. Not sure why, but I'm sure it had to do with the fact that I wanted it done, and the 95% of people using the rich text option didn't need it.

It may return in version 7, whenever that happens.

Yah, I miss this feature, too. I use Galeon on Linux at work, and often have to edit things for appearance.
Not a huge thing, but it would help folks like me
