How simialiar are Scream & RR?

I Haven't been to MM in years. Just curious as to how Scream will compare to RR in terms of elements, pacing, height, track lenght, etc.

For starters, Their both made by the same company and both have inversions. Most likely, Scream will a have an on ride photo. Scream is 5 feet shorter than RR. Both wil have major crowds this summer. I Can't think of anything else.

http://www.rcdb.com, Scream!'s got 7 inversions while Riddler only has 6, Scream!'s inversion layout is as follows: Vertical Loop, Dive Loop, Zero-G Roll, Cobra Roll (2 inversions), Corkscrew, Corkscrew. Riddler's Revenge: Vertical loop, Dive loop, Dive loop, Inclined Loop, Corkscrew, Corkscrew. Riddler is 370 feet longer, 6 feet taller, and they both go 65 mph. You're welcome. ;)

Although it appears they have somewhat similar stats (see Marimba's past above) and pacing, the differences between riding a floorless comapred to riding a standup are many. I wouldn't worry about them being too similar.

SCREAM with me... in 2003!

I've been on Mantis(Stand Up) and Batman Knight Flight (Floorless) both B&M completely different layouts. It just seems odd that both MM's B&M's are really similiar layouts. Just my opinion.

Scream should to be a capacity king for SFMM if they run it right. RR doesn't dispatch very quickly, even though half the people are sitting on the damn thing most of the time. Is there even a sign there to inform people it's a stand -up coaster?

The Floorless coasters are louder than you think.

Not Medusa West with all that sand in it. If you are looking away during a test run, you can almost not tell it is running. :) Beautiful sound!

which floorless coasters are you referring to? Kraken and Medusa West are obscenely quiet, and SKC/BDK are extremely quiet. The only loud ones are Medusa SFGAd and Batman Knight Flight, with Medusa being the only one that is uncomfortably loud.

So in conclusion (lol), the floorless coasters are *quieter* than you think. (4 quiet, two "loud" in USA).

It all depends on whether the park has noise issues to deal with, which SFMM does not. Scream will most certainly be one of the loud B&Ms.

And you know it will be loud how? Anyway. About the whole sitting down on a standup, I think people should be shown how to properly sit before getting in the station so they know how to get in the seats right.

Riddler's Revenge, S:TE, Batman, X, Viper, Revolution, Flashback, Ninja, Goliath, Deja Vu and Colossus, that's how.

Oh, but I'm sure they'll be concearned about noise levels now...(rolls eyes).

Riddler's Revenge was built in 1998. That's the most recent B&M to be built at SFMM. Maybe B&M has made some changes to their tracking. Also, how can you assume that this will be loud because Colossus is loud, a wooden coaster. **Done ranting :)**

Since when is a loud B&M a problem? I find it to be one of the best parts of B&M coasters is that roar of the track/train!

Well here's my semi-informed opinion on the "loudness" of Scream.

I think it will be as loud as Medusa for one reason. Medusa has nylon wheels. If you were to take those off and use the poly wheels, the train would not make it through the course due to the softer wheels.

Now, for some reason, MF got quiet wheels and is just as fast...so honestly, I don't know anymore! :)

As loud as S:TE is I really doubt MM has any issues with noise.

Coming in 2003-The Spawn Of Magnum!

With home development getting closer and closer to the park the last thing they want to do it make their coasters quieter. Homeowner Associations who suddenly want a 30+ yr old park to be less noisy will not have a legal leg to stand on unless the park suddenly starts to fill coaster supports with sand.
