Gator, I've never been to Stricker's, but there is *no way* Tornado is better than the Eagle. Not a chance.

D3n, I *guess* that's good news...Eagle kicked butt and all (it really DID). C'mon though, there is almost no chance of me ever getting on Tornado...probably stand a better chance of being picked up by one. A private park with build-it-yourself coasters, that's like a dream or fary tale or something....awesome...:)

edit: FoF, yep, that's the place...about a hlaf-hour from PKI...more if you get lost like we did...;)

I think it's run by Tommy Lasorda. Bill, does it get your goose that a dog has a credit on a coaster you don't have?

Brian, who's taking it one day at a time :(

Gator, you know Stricker's is open to the public like one or two days a year. If you really wanted to ride Tornado, it'd just be a matter of planning.

RideMan, I'm sure, would be able to tell you when exactly it's open.

Sorry Bill Scholer, I was referring to Bill (rollergator). I try not to refer to people I don't know by their first name, although I'm sure you're a great guy.

Heres the deal, About a month ago Frank B. came on the americanaamusementpark.com site board and said that yes the park would be open this summer. Pugh left the bills and employees in a quandry so I don't know, The phone number listed at Lesourdsville.com has been disconnected.

Meanwhile Scott Fowler of www.americanaamusementpark.com says he is visiting the park in a week or two for news and a tour SO ALL IS NOT LOST YET. As a matter of fact the talk a month ago was pretty possitive. I do know that Couch has Couch's Campers fully open and is clearing land to the left of the parking lot for something. If I had to guess, I would say yes the park will open with basically the same thurs-sunday schedual as last year but don't take my word for it yet!

If I can stop by the park, I will get all the info I can. I may call couch campers tomorrow and see if they can GET ME WORD or direct me to where I CAN.

Chuck, who knows a few who want to come June 1st and I sure hope it opens!

I just called Couchs Campers. I said I had a strange question.

Q. The amusement park, Is there a number to contact them?

A. No, Not yet.

Q. Any information you can give me? Are they opening?

A. No sir. I do not have any information or news I can give at this time.

Charles Nungester, Who will either stop by the park or wait for Scott Fowlers report on americanaamusementpark.com message board.

Ummm sorry this isn't exactly related to the topic, but when the park was still open was it a Pay-per-Ride deal or a One-Admission Ticket? I'm going to up at PKI this summer and don't have time to stop there for long, so thus I can't really spend ages at LeSourdsville Lake. However I'd still like to pop in just for a ride on the Screechin Eagle! So can anyone remember how the pricing system worked? Thanks.

Last year they had both, A ticket per ride system and a all day pass. Every ride was $1 except for Screechin Eagle, Raging Thunder Log flume and the Musik Express and they were $2 per ride. Last years all day pass was about $17 with a $3 parking fee.

Thursdays were a everythings a $1

Hello,

To all those who get lost going to Stricker's Grove or LeSourdsville Lake...Yeah, if you make one small wrong turn out there in both farm countries, you'll get to see A LOT of corn. Both parks are located in a somewhat strange location...that's why I'm REALLY hoping LeSourdsville has LeScaresville like they originally wanted too...It would be a great...CHEAP...alt. to PKI for people.

The Tornado is a pretty neat coaster...by far not your typical wooden coaster. There are some strange vertical slams that I have only found on one other coaster and that's SOB. The Eagle...now there's a great hidden Ohio gem.

If you're looking for any info, pics, times, price etc. (I don't have the new 2003 times yet ) though) there is a lot of info on LeSourdsville at:

http://OhioThemeParks.com

I hope you can get to the park...it's definetly one not to miss!! C-ya around and let me know if you need any other info!
