Season Passes-Buzz Poll?

By the way coastergenius, that wasn't a very genius comment. Isn't it always stated by noble enthusiasts that it doesn't matter how big your track record is, it just matters if you have, get ready, the key word: enthusiasm.

This year I have:

* Busch Gardens Tampa/Sea World Florida annual (good until end of March 2001)
* Universal Studios Florida/Islands of Adventure annual (good until June 15, 2001)
* Paramount's Kings Island season pass
* Six Flags Employee ID
* Sea World Ohio annual (good for ALL BEC parks until Feb 28, 2002)
* Six Flags Worlds of Adventure season pass
* Cedar Point/Soak City combo pass (good for all Cedar Fair amusement/water parks until April 31, 2002)

And that's it. Are there any parks I *can't* get into this year?! ;) Maybe I'll have to buy a Hershey pass...

BTW, GregLeg. I know you purchased a SWO pass and was planning on using it to gain admission to all BEC parks. Just to let you know, you could have driven from PA where you live to the park (not THAT far...hell, I drove from north of Chicago!) and processed your pass at Sea World. You would have gotten a free Six Flags pass included in the $55 price tag.

Got my 2001 pass in October during Fright Fest for SFGAdv. I'll go at least once a week except for the months of July & Aug...way too crowded then - and it's just no fun with mobs of people.

there needs to be choice "0". What about the people that work for amusement parks. I work for Six Flags and I get free admission to all their properties. Even if I want to go to another park most parks have exchange programs with others. Like I can use my SFSTL employee ID get into Silver Dollar City and Worlds of Fun.

1- SFGAm, Last year I only went 5 x's --HOPE to go more this year(and I live in WI) I plan to visit CP this year too, Seems really neat. I have a question for people that work for any parks, but mainly the six flags people...Do you get sick of going to the park if you always working? Everyone says that if you would get a job there you wouldn't want to go there on days you didn't have to work....

Just a thought--

A WOF PASS! Yeah still the cheapest Season Pass of the CF:LP chain! I will also be hitting VF! and KBF with that card. :) What a bargain!

Yeah, hindsight is 20/20 and all... :(

Here's what happened. I bought a Six Flags Ohio pass last fall. Then I found out that the Sea World Ohio pass was good at all Busch parks. I ordered a SWO pass *the day before* the news hit that SF was buying SWO. When I saw the news, I called SWO, and was told that the SWO pass would NOT be honored at the Busch parks, so I had them cancel my order since I already had the cheaper SFO pass.

Now, I've heard from several sources that the Busch chain would have honored that SWO pass. Sigh...

Wonder if I can call them and convince them to reinstate it? ;) As you said, making the trip to have them validate it is EASY. I made multiple daytrips to SFO last year as it was...

Oh heck no! I'm in an amusement park every single day of the summer (okay, maybe once or twice I'm not). I mean, I know I won't be able to do this kind of travelling when I'm older, so doing it now is the only chance I'll get. I wouldn't trade my summers for anything.

Buying a Valleyfair! pass this year, first year I've ever bought a pass. I plan on using it during Coaster Tours this year when we stop by Worlds of Fun.

I am definitely buying a SF pass this year. I work 5 minutes away from SFGam. I dont know yet which SF park I will buy it from though.

I still think a zero option for the poll would have been nice. Though I'll be visiting 4 different parks this year, none of them are in the same chain.

I don't think it's fair to lable someone a non-enthusist if they don't have a season pass. I too live 3 hours away from the closest park, regardless of the size, and I'm not springing for a pass I *may* use at the most twice.

I have two jobs, a family, and somewhat of a social life so going to theme parks all summer long just isn't feasable. I'm sure there are many others in the same situation I am.

YOu should have an option for sero season passes. I have never bought a season pass and probably never will. I live over two hours away from the closest amusement park(which would be Michigan's Adventure).

I have never owned a season pass, and I probably won't have one this year. If I still lived in Canton, OH, I'd have a SF pass and a CP pass this year, but now I'm 6 hours from SFWoA and 8 from CP. My closest park is SFDL, and that's still an hour and a half drive. SROS is about the only real thing worth going for right now, and I can guarantee I'll only be going once. On the other hand, I might try to hit a few other SF parks this year, so I may end up getting a SF pass.

As always, getting a PCW pass.. I can't pass up riding the Top Scan they are getting, Plus if I do end up going to SFGam, then I,ll buy a season pass from Darien Lake and use it at SFGam, and SFWoA...

I got to grad school, work full time, have a girlfriend, and about ten million other interests. I also would like to visit places I haven't been before. Maybe if I lived 5 minutes away from Cedar Point it would be a different story but just about every trip to a park is a moderate to major excursion.

Something I haven't seen mentioned here is that a lot of parks don't offer season passes. If your home park doesn't, well, you're out of luck. Since, then, many times you'll only get to another chain once a year, there's no reason for you to buy any season passes.

If Kennywood offered season passes, I'd have one. No doubt.

Lynch, how many times do you go to KW anyway? That seems like it could get awfully expensive if you go a lot. Is there any discount for like a 10-pack of RAD's or something?
