Funniest thing said at a park?

I was in the motion simulator theater at PCW, and when it started, a girl a couple of seats over says "oooh, vibrating seats, this is better than I thought..."
I guess you had to be there.

I was in line for Loch Ness Monster at BGW while I overheard some guy explaining to his wife how they often run the coasters backwards (lift hill at the end of the ride), how LochNess had "back-loops" (I have no idea what he meant), and how the motors on the coaster trains were really powerful. Lol!

CoasterChic, I had the same thing happen to me, except it was painful. I had my Millennium Force shirt on as I boarded King Cobra, and the ride op tightened my restraints so that they hurt! I wasn't very happy, and yelled that I was going to sue the park. It made me mad because I couldn't feel the airtime on the bunny hills.

I was at BGW, and some lady swore to me that the cars on BBW didnt sway on their own, she said "they only use hydrolics to swing the cars up" ha

LOL! I work at Blue Man Group Chicago, nice to know silly questions are everywhere not just our box office!

My favorite park story wasn't one I was personally there for, I heard it from a friend back in the 80s, some guy called and asked for directions to Cedar Point...

CP: "From where?"
Guy: My house."
CP: "And where is your house?"
Guy: "On the corner."
CP: "On the corner of?"
Guy: "Elm Street*."
CP: "And Elm Street is in...?"
Guy: "Michigan."

And it went on (he was in Detroit it turned out). *Don't remember actual street name.

How about American Eagle, the tallest ride at SFGam? Here are some quotes.

Me: You know the new roller coaster at CP: MF, is going to be as tall as Sky Trek.
Other guy: American Eagle is taller.

"Raging Bull isn't as tall as the Eagle"

"The Eagle is the tallest Roller Coaster in the world.

I had the pleasure of listening to the conversation of some people coming from California , while in line for Viper. Here's some of their comments.

"Raging Bull would be the weakest coaster at Magic Mountain.

"Their Viper is a wooden roller coaster"

"This Batman's not as good as the original"

"That ride "chock wave" is a rip-off of Viper"

Other comments

"That line is like two hours." (This was a day RB's queue houses weren't being used.)

"Giant Drops' line moves the fastest"

joey isch, ROTFLMAO! I burst out laughing when I read that!

"Did you guys ride 'Chowus'?"

A nice, friendly, yet severely backwater West Virginian couple asked us that while we were in line for Millennium Force at Cedar Point.

In case you didn't get it, which, I'll admit, it took me a few minutes... They were referring to Chaos.

A guy that thought he knew what he was talking about said this:

"Oh yeah, I HATE that Raging Bull ride. I mean, it is just so rough and the securing belt hurts my head. Man, they should tear it down."

When people always ask the gate person, "How long is the wait?" or "Is the wait time really that long?" when the time sign is right in front of them.

While I was in line for the American Eagle I was told that it once had a loop after the first drop that was torn down because it didn't make it through and the train fell killing several people

One day I was talking w/ my friends about roller coaster and mentioned "B&M" and they said, "Do they make cars?". I just started laughing while they were staring at me probably thinking why is he laughing?!? Then I explained what B&M stood for and that they build roller coasters. It was SO funny. :)

I was at PKD in line for Flight of Fear. There was this really loud/excited/pumped teen getting on the ride. He was yelling (ie. YEAHHHHHHHHH! WHOOOHOOOO!). At this point, one of the ride ops joins in. They start a little contest of who is yelling the loudest. The guys attention is totally focused on the ride op and his own yelling that he FORGETS about the launch! You could hear him screaming like a girl all the way down the tunnel. The ride op and the crowd were laughing sooo hard.

One funny one was on MS at CP and we were on the brakes that are right before the station and I started clapping like I did on MF and I guess the other peeps didnt agree with me cuz I was the only person clapping. (I did that on purpose)

Well another one is when I was on the screw at CP (and it is screwed) well when we got to the brake run after the second corkscrew I said, OWWWW that was a pain -- then sum people started laughing

One time I was waiting in line for the old fashioned cars at CP with my brother, his wife, and my 2 yr old nephew AJ. My brother was holding AJ and on the other side of the rail was a couple Islam women. Or whatever nationality they are that wear those scarfs covering their faces. Anyways, my brother, sister, and I were in conversation when AJ grabbed the scarf and ripped it off the lady's head! We were trying not to crack up because we didn't want the lady to get mad. She was polite about it but we were sooo embarassed. Then as the line moved, he grabbed somebody's stuffed animal. THEN he grabbed some lady's boob! We were ready to crack up. I guess AJ was feeling grabby that day. LOL.

I'll just tell this one before Jeremy (Coaster Clown) gets to.

he was on S:ROS and when the ride was over, the 2 people behind him said (in a really hillbilly voice) "Man, that coaster was awesome! I can't wait till mom gets out of jail so we's can bring her down here and git her on it"

I was ROFL when he told me that!

I'm thinking to myself, when you are face-down perpendicular to the ground on the 185ft back spike being held by the LIMs...WHAT DO YOU THINK?
