Why so few Six Flags intertwining rides?

Six Flags America:

Wild One and Typhoon Sea Coaster

Six Flags Fiesta Texas:

Road Runner Express and Rattler

Six Flags Great America:

Demon and the Scenic Railway

While slightly off the topic, I think that the best example of a park with intertwining rides that I can think of is Blackpool. I can't figure out how they've fit so much in such a small place.

Yeah, I can't believe it took that long for someone to think of Blackpool. Morey's Piers also has rides on top of rides.

And from pictures and videos, it looks like Holiday World's waterslide, and one of the woodies cross over each other a couple of times.

Stealth and Loggers Run at PGA intertwine don't they?

Loggers Run and Yankee Clipper intertwine with each other also at SFGAM.

Funny how this topic started as a Six Flags Bash but if you look, Six Flags has quite a few rides that intertwine. Granted they don't have to stack rides such as the land locked parks - but I don't think it has anything to do with clones. Are not some of the coasters at Morey's Piers clones? - and yet, they intertwine with other rides.

i think its just because we're all so used to intertwining our rides in RCT because we can backspace a few times and experiment until we get the design right. so we all get this idea that intertwining rides is easy.

we forget that the designers must always think ahead, and that RCT doesnt make a fuss about clearances, footer placements, maintenence/utilities, etc.... but all these things must be overcome in the real world to build an intertwining coaster.

I also think there is less of a space problem at many SF parks than in Japan and at other parks here. Most SF parks seem to have enough room to expand. Designing a ride to fit in and around another ride takes extra consideration. Yes it raises the excitement, but at what cost?

No they don't. They come very close to each other, but they don't interwine at all.

And people forgot about Jubilee Odyssey! It interwines with the Millennium Roller Coaster (Vekoma Convential Seater)

Well, as far as PARKS intertwining rides in general, it kind of *ties their hands* with regards to future expansion, ride removal, even potentially operations and maintenance. It's really nice to see dueling and racing coasters, and I think the additional excitement goes FAR beyond what you'd find in RCT, but it *could* have a negative impact on other park decisions....

Off the top of my head, Frightful Falls and Legend at HW, and Lola and Stella (Twisted Twins) and SFKK.

Probably because they don't NEED to. The only reason to intertwine rides is a lack of space, and many parks don't have that problem.

Umm did anyone remember how the Vekoma SLC (hmm.. can't remember the name) at Morey's Piers intertwines with the waterpark? Pretty much all of the rides at Morey's Piers all intertwine.
